Your Honor, the fish sticks are done!

Howdy. My name's Harold, and this tree here is Bob, though I like to call him Herbert because I think it's funny. Now, y'all sit right down, and I'ma tell the story of how all this happened to me. It ain't happy.

Dis gon b gud. Commencing read.

EDIT: whoa... that was... good? great? intense? all of the above? yeah, we'll go with that one.

This was both an emotional mission and an awesome fic.

Well done on it.

~Skeeter The Lurker

I enjoyed the concept greatly, but I think it could have benefited from being expanded upon a bit more--as it is, it seems as though Fluttershy is merely providing a kindness to a hurting creature, not killing one of her oldest and dearest friends, because of the lack of emotional buildup.

I did enjoy the story, though.

3094365 Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to remember that. I was kinda rushed to get this done today so nyefffffff. I had no other time and I wanted it done

3094371 I can understand that :) Just had to comment.

I don't Fallout. Will I still understand it? :fluttershysad:

3094375 It's about one character. You should understand his story.

3094375 while he appeared in 4/6 of the fallout games, you don't need to understand them long as his background is explained well in such a story.

Now I feel bad for making his heart grow faster.:fluttercry:

do not worry because if you keep Harold alive, then this happens:

If the Wanderer chooses to keep Harold alive, he tells Harold that he has been given a gift and must stay alive to save the lives of others. Harold, finding a new reason to live, replies that he was selfish to want to kill himself, and then asks Bob if he agrees. Harold finally says that he is at peace with himself and, for the first time in a long time, Harold is finally happy.

Aww.
I actually cried a little.

Awesome.

3094655 It's just that in this story everyone died by deathclaw and once the forest was done, he got sad again.

i hated that part in fallout 3

3094754 Y u hate on da tree

3094757 it was a sad moment i killed him i had tears i like him to

It's nice to see what would of happend if the tree was alive at that point. When I met him In game I killed him and gained the bark-skin perk then felt bad.

3096669 Meh, then it wouldn't be as "endy" I'm glad you enjoyed the story, though! Enough to read it six times though? I thought I wasn't any good at sad stories... :applejackunsure:

3098014 good sorry bro if it makes me have tears its good sad but good

3095028 gah fuk u dunespace

Only problem I had with this story was that you seem to have mixed a whole bunch of Fallout terminology with FiM stuff.

This was a touching little story. I would have liked to see a bit more interaction (in the past flashback) between Fluttershy and Harold, but otherwise, awesome. :pinkiehappy:

Ooooh... Fallout crossover...Always a good read.

That was certainly creative. Although, was this Harold ever in the Wasteland? It seems like he was in Equestria this whole time, which kinda doesn't make sense.

Besides that, this fic was pretty satisfying. Nailed the emotion juuuust right. Got a nice collection of stories here...I think I'll go with Bowser in Equestria next. Celestia knows how that'll turn out. :trollestia:

3254157 I was going under the hint that Equestria WAS the wasteland and Harold is a pony.

3254164

Fallout: Equestria? :twistnerd:

...The Mane Six were pretty much all dead. :rainbowwild:

3254204 Nope, not the same universe. Equestrian Wasteland? Yes. Fallout Equestria? Nope. :rainbowwild:

3254218

Well met, kinsman. :ajsmug:

Making a universe of your own for a story? Seems legit. :duck:
