That was a really good match up. Not gonna lie, for a mere moment I thought this was going to turn raunchy once Savage got her in that bear hug and AJ was getting that anxiety attack. Yeah, was starting to sound like a rape train was gonna go down and even though I knew the tags said everyone, I still got chills from that scene I won't spoil in these spoilers lol
AJ is really amazing in fics. Tossed this beauty into my favs. It's a keeper!

But when a chance encounter and a bar-room brawl brought him and Applejack together in Manehattan, they caught the eye of McMane, who immediately entered them into their first challenge match. Though Gala Justice and Pepper Corn (he made the name up on the spot, don't judge him) were fine wrestlers in their own right, they truly shone as a team, busting moves such as the "Spiced Apple Cider Press", the "Rowdy Rodeo Double Kick", and the unbeatable "Third Finishing Move with a Corny Name".
They ruled the circuit for close to two years, until the day that Pepper Corn decided to call it quits and move someplace far away from all of the excitement. Because in all his time in the ring, he never truly forgot who the true love of his life was - a donkey whom he had met, one fateful day in Canterlot...

It turns out that Applejack swallows RD's head a lot - it's her favoured way of stopping a conversation she doesn't like the direction of.
But this cloud has a silver lining - Rainbow can hold her breath, like, for EVER. And that's useful for all kinds of things!

Best pony doing major league wrestling and whooping massive minotaur ass! And after the whole message in the mask reference from No More Heroes, I was laughing through the whole story. Well except for that German suplex and burning hammer move. I was sucking air through my teeth then!
Ah so it wasn't my imagination. I had suspected it was just my incredibly dirty mind. Excellent. Loved the story, now that I finally got around to reading it. (!) There were a couple of parts that really stood out in my mind, (I watched a lot of Hajime no Ippo) and the scenes were super easy to visualize, which made the whole experience that much better.
Please keep writing, I'll keep reading!
For some reason, I get an image in my mind of Applejack taking on a Hulk Hogan-esque persona as a wrestler, though a fair bit more humble. Her theme would be 'Real Equestrian.' Not sure on the exact lyrics, but this is 'Real American'
