I remember in the mornings when its just silence--ringing silence--that makes you feel so alone. 1000 years of silence?
I could not stand 1000 seconds of it.

The ideas and preoccupations shes juggling around here seem to me like they should be taking place in a period of less than like 6 months. You can't stay mad at someone for a full year. You just can't. She would stop caring at some point. I am convinced that she would have had to go into a meditative state after a year or so... Interesting concept, however.

This version of Luna felt abandoned, mistled, and mistreated by her sister.

In her mind, she was given the worst job, and was quite deliberately shunned by the ponies of Equestria. Every morning when she awoke, she would be reminded of her sisters 'mutiny'. And she was bitter already from that. The banishment furthered it.

Theoretically, she could stay mad at her sister for far longer. Perhaps not. That is up to the reader to decide.

Great Story, but she wnt from missing her sister and feeling guilty to becoming nighmare moon. you should have made it a bit longer. you should have made a bridge.

I am writing a diary of luna (not copying you) but it is a new entry every chapter. Plus in my version she builds a castle and finds her opossom on the moon. Yes I know it doesn't make any sense whatsoever, but I hope you read it.
