As for this story taking place in Jinxie-canon, read my author's notes: No no nonononono. Nopony made a magic bridle, Twilight didn't lose a Model 2.3 between the events of TMB and RWDE, and she didn't leave it at the Wonderbolts Academy!
Here is what I DO like:
The Wonderbolts tend to mess around with each other after hours.
Spitfire might have a thing for Soarin.

The Wonderbolts Academy is a notorious vector for pegasus STDs. I mean, crowd so many pegasi in one place, all of them devotees to a life of honing their young, virile bodies...
Those things are fic-verse headcanon for me. As for the bridle... you have some odd Freudian shit going on with Applejack, Rarity and Lyra, and a little bit with Scootaloo, so I strongly considered actually having the bridle take away the user's dick to take away their Freudian power. I decided against it for symmetry's sake. There is also the fact that the bit is for lesbian sex, and the bridle is for gay stallions!

My current theory is, if you are doing your work competently (fixing all grammar derps, done your homework, really making the freaking effort in other words as if you wanted ALL upvotes and no haters) then what the haters predict for you is their opposite.
In other words, so long as the work's capable of supporting it, the number of haters exactly correlates to the number of absolutely rabid, changed-my-life-OMG fans, who are literally priceless.
You have to commit, and go out on a limb to accomplish anything. The trouble is, often you don't hear as much from the crazy-go-nuts fans, they're intimidated or embarrassed when you're writing wacky clop and the haters have a much easier time speaking up. But I've heard from enough over the couple years I've spent at this to vouch for it. Welcome the haters and try to understand where they're coming from (i.e. figure out what part's throwing them, sometimes that sheds light on what you're leaving out) but don't try to change things to suit them because you're doing great already for their opposite numbers. Just do it better and more-so.

Actually hard as it is to believe I was sincere. What in the name of rules 33-64 was I thinking when I clicked on this story without reading over the warning labels? Who knows, what matters now is that all the moments from Badger pony's previous soarfire fic are now forever overshadowed in my mind after reading this. Don't get me wrong though, you have your airfield instructor's accent down to a tee and as far as the praise goes I could visualise every detail about the characters and I do mean every detail.
Because of your writing you will not be getting a down vote from me, but due to the fact that this particular paraphilia niche is too small for me to fit my gigantic, throbbing interest into without feeling something break you will not be getting a like either. And sorry to rob you of the satisfaction of hearing me clop but I am a strict moar-man

Great Read, very well written. The TMB universe is a great one, and this fic definitely did it justice. Oh, and it certainly wasn't too long.. or too short for that matter. I wouldn't mind seeing more like this, in the Jinxyverse or not.

This was a great little read. Not too long at all. Although, I'll admit I was a bit confused here and there, but it was very fun to see happening.
Maybe I'm just a picky bastard, but I felt more ready to give this a like than to give one to "The Magic Bit". When I tried reading "The Magic Bit", everyone was hopping into bed with each other on a moment's notice, and it felt really rushed. Your story establishes that the two characters have a prior sexual relationship, and shows a playfulness between them that makes their connection feel real and alive.
(If that sounds backhanded as all hell, I guess maybe it is--I also tried reading that story you wrote with Dash having sex with all those Pinkie clones, and it felt a lot like "The Magic Bit" in terms of being sex without much of an emotional component. Then again, that was a much older story . . .)

I fell in love with the Magic Bit series because I read it when I was a fresh brony and the sun was going down. I've since come to see its considerable flaws, but the things that captured me way back when are legitimately very unique, and IMO they make the whole deal worth reading.
See I was interested in finding fanfics that worked with the m6 and held them to hardcore canon. I had just read Romance Reports, and I was completely captivated by the idea of telling a story that blends crazy shit with actual ponydom.
Jinx is hardcore into the whole idea of making bizzare, dark, or depressing ideas click with pony-canon. The most distinctive way that this comes out is in the characters. I'm not sure how to explain this. Imagine writing a profile for a very complex character with very deep emotional issues, and then imagine that what you wrote just happens to result in a person who acts exactly like Fluttershy. And it really does work--the character voices are solid, except for individual slips. And even when a deeply psychologically broken Rarity spends most of 120,000 words exploring themes of gender issues and hardcore BDSM and let's not even TALK about this, the light of the happy, lighthearted Ponyville that it all comes from manages to shine through.
On that note, how are Jinxie readers finding my nonsense? Just coincidence?
