A My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic x Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Crossover.
Twilight finds herself in another world after a direct conflict with some strange individuals, who are after the Elements of Harmony. In this other world, she meets up with a particularly special person and his friends, known as the Signers.
Given the circumstances, an alliance must be made to protect both worlds from the impending threat.
Note: Tags may be edited accordingly as the story progresses. Also, credit to Sapphire Jewel and a couple other friends (don't even know if they have accounts on this site) for aiding in some parts of the story.
Comments and critique are encouraged. Gore tag is due to some violence and blood present in some chapters.

Pretty good chapter, I was about to criticize that the you forgot to lower the speed counters after every multiple of 1000 points of damage, but then I realized that it was Speed World 2 instead Speed World 1.

But yeah, I usually try to be careful when it comes to Duels. The occasional mistake will sometimes slip by the Duel-planning, -writing, and -rereading stages... along with... *sigh* typos.
That's exactly why Yuesi is so cool. He can always pull the card he needs at just the right moment and somehow manage to win even when all hope seems lost.

I don't think it's a "meh" story. You could certainly do a lot worse with the duels. Good guys win, some banter mixed in, le gasp moments, nothing's missing that the show itself didn't use.(Even though you're making it up as you go, this is quite the feat) I can even follow the flow of the duel easily and you do the calculations for the readers too and remind us of the little changes like the monster's attack going down at the end of the turn and keeping track of speed counters. It's all really nice and you pay attention to the smallest of details others would overlook.
Is Twilight going to be a "damsel in distress" for very long? I know she doesn't duel or anything but maybe she could get a starter deck from Yusei and they have a practice duel so she can learn to defend herself. Yusei should know that he can't always be there for her and same for his friends. It would benefit her in the long run but then again I don't really know the direction this story is going to go. Ah well, tis but a suggestion. I look forward to the next part.

No, I don't plan to keep Twilight as a "damsel in distress".
I'm more or less trying to think of what the next logical thing to happen would be while still keeping in mind the key things I want to happen.
And so far, it doesn't feel to me quite like Twilight's place to act... yet, since we're still in New Domino City... for now.
But I'm actually thinking of increasing Twilight's "usefulness" (for lack of a better word) in upcoming chapters.
As for Twi dueling... I'm really, really, really on the fence about that.

Whether she duels or not is completely up to you but I feel as though the ponies shouldn't take a seat in the back just because there isn't much for them to do. They're tied into this mess and they'd be damned if someone else had to fight their battles for them. As for the "usefullness" of having a purple horned winged pony alien going up that's great to hear.

Right now, Twilight only has the backseat given the circumstances, but I personally see a few issues with her dueling (or almost any protagonist pony that's able to catch on, for that matter). So I want to strive to stress their importance and influence on the plot without the need to give them a Deck.
Is that 100% concrete? No, it isn't.
So far Yuesi, Akiza, and now Jack have engaged in duels. Something tells me next up is Crow, once Jack finishes his duel of course.
Jack is a bit more prone to trouble since he has a power deck but he's proven he can quickly adapt to any situation. Half the fun in Yu-Gi-Oh! is watching the heros come up with new strategies to get out of a jam.
Oh that's not good. Yuesi and Crow will avenge their fallen comrade ten fold!

When Twilight recognized the humans as such in the first chapter it made me think you'd used my own story as a backdrop. Mine is called "HUMAN By: Twilight Sparkle", and in it Twilight and her friends essentially create humanity through fiction.
I forget who, but one of the story's followers dubbed the incarnation of Twilight in the story as Meta Twilight, alluding to the fact that the story's the most meta fic on this site. I'd encouraged readers to use HUMAN as a backdrop for any and all HiE/PoE fics they should happen to write, and you can put the rest together.

I've never been too familiar with the term "meta" with regards to the site other than what has been stated in the FAQ.
The reason Twilight recognized what humans are would be because of where this story falls in the MLP:FiM timeline, which would definitely be after the events of a certain movie.
I intend for this story to be a (somewhat) simple crossover between the two shows and properly using what I know from each as appropriately and as best I can.

I never thought to do a YuGiOh crossover by blending the two worlds. I always tried to do a crossover as a single world with elements of both.
I am tempted to do a Zexal crossover, simply because of Cyber Dragons (I have the structure deck).
