Longer chapter are fine but take too long, short chapters are good but are too quick to read. Try to find a balance. Usually, I try to balance about 2,000-4,000 words. Long enough to get the point of the chapter in, but short enough so that you can easily put them out quickly.
Just my 2 cents.
2624799 Awesome. I'm going to try to keep them somewhere around 4,000 then. That should mean a day or two between updates, depending on how busy I am and how fast the writing and editing go.
Thank's for the input. It really helps.
Please don't give any of the ponies guns

You did not just fucking say that!
"Thumbs Down"
Because I can only do it once
I really liked the idea of an A-10 in equestria but this story sound to run of the mill "soldier gose to equestria through a death or near death expriance and some how is the only hope for the ponies" I gave your story a try but unfortunately I have to take this old dog out in the back and put him down I don't mean to be a dick about this to you so I wish luck with your future endeavors and adiĆ³s.
Now the ponies have our greatest and most powerful invention ever, Duct Tape! And 4 rolls of it!

awsome i love how you wont tell me i ask my big bro about the somewhat ahed of where i am and then i tell him if you tell anything i will kill you
its male not Mail
2631212 Actually, it is 'Mail'. I'm referring to the occupation, not the gender. Besides, a male mare would be a little weird.
Btw i can't wait to see hem show what our kine can do, i mean just set some of there supid armor up and shoot a shit load of bullets in them, and make hem go like this in this video
2631314
oops yes it would be very never-mind
2618073
if you are stranded there possibly forever i whould change to keep my job so yes they whould
60 x 50 9mm
60 boxes with 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition each? good god that is a lot of ammo
The A-10 fires depleted uranium rounds. Not steel.
2640011 That is true, but normal rounds will work just fine. The reason the A-10 uses DU rounds is because it is better at penetrating armor than regular rounds. A normal round will just shatter upon impact, whereas a DU one, which is more dense, will punch through. Granted, the distance from target and any obstacles in the path of the bullet will also have an effect on penetration as well.
Still, you have given me an idea...
2640000 Yes, yes it is. And I plan on using ALL of it!
2640289 I don't expect you to use ALL of it at once, that's just a waste if you do
2640843 Oh, definitely. It'll take a while, but it'll get used.
2641703 It would depend on the context, I guess. 1300 for an M9 will last a lot longer than 1300 for an M134
2642182 It was a stupid comment. I said I can reload 1300 rounds on a reloading press within an hour. I shoot two/three hundred rounds a day depending on how reloading supplies are. It's saves me a lot of $
By the way the Dillion Aero. M134A1 spits out 3000/6000 RPM!!!!!!
2643682 Wasn't that stupid. I'm sure 1300 isn't that much for you, but to the average Joe, that's a lot.
That's why I love reloading presses. I've got a friend that has one that's hooked up to a computer and reloads his brass automatically. I forget what the numbers are, but he can reload a practical mountain of brass in a day.
Hehe, and there are TWO of them! Which is part of the reason there's so much 7.62
Just for the record, the standard ammunition mixture for anti-armor use is a four-to-one mix of PGU-14/B Armor Piercing Incendiary, and PGU-13/B High Explosive Incendiary (HEI) rounds. The PGU-14/B's projectile incorporates a lightweight aluminum body, cast around a smaller caliber depleted uranium penetrating core. So you're technically both right. Out of four rounds fired in a standard load for the A-10, you'd get 3 depleted uranium incendiary rounds and one Hi-Ex Incendiary. Bear in mind that that's merely a STANDARD loadout for the weapon when it goes tank-hunting, so there's no reason he couldn't have been using a nonstandard loadout, especially if it was a training mission, although if I recall, it wasn't. Also bear in mind, tankbusting is what A-10s do best.
Also bear in mind, while the gatling gets a majority of the fan-wankage where the A-10 is concerned, it is STILL a multipurpose weapons platform. The aircraft has 11 stores pylons, providing an external load capacity of 7,260kg. There are three pylons under the fuselage and the loads can be configured to use either the centre-line pylon or the two flanking fuselage pylons.
For weapon guidance, the aircraft can be fitted with Pave Penny laser guidance / electronic support measures, pod installed on the starboard fuselage pylon. Each wing carries four stores pylons: three outboard and one inboard of the wheel fairing.
The A-10 can carry up to ten Maverick air-to-surface missiles. The Raytheon Maverick AGM-65 missile uses a variety of guidance systems, including imaging infrared guidance and warheads, including a high-penetration, 57kg conical-shaped charge warhead. Range is more than 45km. The A-10 can also carry the Sidewinder air-to-air missile, which is an all-aspect short-range missile with maximum speed over Mach 2.
The A10 is capable of deploying a wide range of ordnance: for example, the LDGP mk82 226kg, 500lb general-purpose bombs, BLU-1 and BLU-27/B Rockeye II cluster bombs and the cluster bomb unit CBU-52/71.
Overkill, a myth perpetuated by wusses. A crap ton of ammunition and weapons is better than a piss cup of ammo and few small arms
Actually, I never found MREs to be that bad. If you do get bad one (eggs and ham, I'm looking at you despite my best efforts to forget), just add jelly. Seriously, adding jelly to a bad MRE makes it edible. Most are actually pretty good. Especially ones with chicken.
Also, what is up with authors and white Royal Guards? I've seen plenty with brown coats and white main and tail.
Sorry to be nit-picky, but the P-90 fires a 5.7x28mm round. Not the 9mm Parabellum.
3604906 isn't there a P-90 version that fires 9mm?
Rarity would feel better if she saw a dress uniform
2640011 The A-10 can also fire PGU-13/B High Explosive Incendiary (HEI) rounds
2923769 its the MREs with some kind of pasta that you want. and the tabasco always helps too.
