First Lieutenant John "Aquila" Killinger was on a less than routine patrol flight, when he was somehow teleported to a different planet. Little does he know, he is the last hope for the inhabitants of this strange world.

Update! FUCK YEAH! *Fist pump*
Sounds like someone didn't duck fast enough.
Awesome chapter.
I liked this chapter a lot more than the last one.
An update! Great chapter. I can't wait to see what happens next.
US Military Personnel use "mikes" in place of "minutes":
3449653 I know, and I've done so in previous chapters. The problem is that I'm walking a line between using proper military etiquette, and keeping the story "dumbed down" for any non-military readers that wouldn't necessarily understand everything.
3447898 3447968 3449362 I'm glad you all liked it!

I can imagine the girl going CRY SOME MORE!!!
3451176 Ah, alright. In my opinion though, I think it'd be better to keep the story more realistic.
3455314 Well, I'll take that into account in the future. Keep in mind, I'll have to keep things understandable for people, but I can certainly add some things to ramp up the realism. If that means I have to make a glossary or add descriptions in the author's notes to explain things, then I can do that. (Might actually start doing that anyway )
SWEET CELESTIA! A WILD UPDATE APPEARED! YES time for school agh
3604906 Y U MAKIN ME FIX STUFF!
Lol, JK.
I had a feeling it fired something else. I think I was thinking of the Thompson when I wrote that. Fixed. Also put the list in a quote tag for better reading.
As for nit-pickiness, keep it up. Everything that you find wrong means one more thing that gets fixed, which leads to a better story.
3622259 It could be better. As it is, I've got a beginning, end, and a few key parts, but other than that, I'm just making it up as I go. If I had an actual plan in place for each chapter, then I'm sure it would be much better. The updates would probably be faster too.
3630836 Thanks. It's been a few years since I've had to use Medieval grammar. 7 or 8 I think...

You mean the one who womanned the Big minigun?
I'm not sure, but I think that normally, mounted mini-guns are called gatling guns, because they aren't so mini anymore.
Edit: Nevermind. It apparently has mini-guns AND gatling guns. I want to see the GAU-19 in action in this. Okay?
Edit: I really want to see a tank. I kind of expected a tank to be the next thing that come through the portal.
3631186 I thought about putting in a GAU-19, but I've never actually seen them fielded on helicopters. I've only ever seen the M2 or the M134. I might be able to fit one in, but no promises.
As for tanks...
3631160 yea screaming like heavy CRY SOME MORE
3636197 WHO TOUCHED MY GUN!!!
3636353
3636353 I AM BUUULET PROOOOOOOFFFF
3709762 ALL OF YOU ARE BABIES!!!!
3719865 A spark wouldn't ignite the fuel itself, but it would ignite the fumes (provided the fume to oxygen ratio is good) , which would then ignite the fuel. Even if the fuel didn't catch, and it was just the fumes that went up, the entire area would get scorched, the orchard would probably be on fire, and whoever was in the area would be sent to the hospital with severe burns.
Plus, it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Marines don't have Blackhawks. Force Recon guys with a special helo might be catching a ride on Army 160th SOAR birds.
3632110 never seen on helicopter? Well now u have.

My sentiments exactly, Dash. Hell shalt be unleashed upon the manticores, in the form of 3000rpm of 7.62x51mm NATO
