For some context, I work in a library. This is sort of a spoof on my daily experiences.

When Twilight Sparkle gets a noise complaint from one of the ponies utilizing her library it's up to her, as head librarian, to solve the problem and restore peace to the library. Is this bookish mare up to the task? Will ponies ever read in peace again? And just when did the library get a computer lab anyways? Only one of these questions will be answered in this tale.

7/10 made me chuckle

I like your name, by the way.

Ok then...
I have no idea what I just read. And I like it that way.

Eek. A spy. You must be from the agency too, try not to blow my cover. :twilightoops:

That's kind of how I felt when I was writing it!

It's the first time I've seen Twilight use the elements on Rainbow Dash. :twistnerd:

about a thesis on 'humans'.”

:facehoof:

“Welcome to Socks & Electronics!”

I never get tired of this joke. :rainbowkiss:

It took me like 5 minutes of staring at your comment to get that joke. Then I burst out laughing in the middle of work. :twilightblush:

Feels like you missed a great opportunity for some surreal humor. A computer lab that she never noticed offers lots of joke material I think, but it's mostly just a few laughs as she solves a real library problem. The store was funny (its now my headcannon that all Ponyville stores are like that), but I feel like this could have done so much more.

The elements joke in the comments would make that interaction much more entertaining if you fit it into the story, too.

I feel ya, but I wasn't exactly trying to win any awards with it. I wasn't initially planning to put this up on FiMfic, it's just something I thought would be fun to do and wrote up in a flash. That said, I noticed pretty immediately the wasted opportunity of not making it a longer fic to explore the idea more fully, but it's not something I was worried about when I decided to share it. Worst case scenario, I'm happy with what I wrote and even though it may not meet it's full hidden potential it served a good purpose, but ideally I'll be revisiting the idea with a much more serious mindset in the near future.

I do appreciate your comment, though, because I was beginning to wonder if anyone had even noticed the almost incomplete nature of it.
