This is... interesting. Though shipping is more amusing than alluring for me, this chapter isn't bad at all. It'll be interesting to see how this story goes.

Some minor things, structuring could use a little work. A couple of grammar errors in the mix, but it can be overlooked.

All in all, this looks good, and I'm looking forward to later installments

I love how this story keeps pulling me back and forth! I want Rainbow to stay with Soarin'... no I want her to be with Scratch... and now I want her back with Soarin' again!

I don't recall seeing an old version but I've grown to like this story as well as your other stories.

Only thing I can think of saying to possibly improve this chapter would be to fix the Italics that seem to take control of the last third or so of the chapter. Other than that it's great.

Excellent story.  I loved the interaction between Dash and Scratch.  This must be the hardest feat she's ever had to accomplish.  

I especially loved how Pinkie added to the scene instead of distracting from it.  Even her sudden appearance furthered more interaction.  "And then I was all like and I could tell they both had a major case of the fuzzie-wuzzies!"
