Jace's home of Ravinca is destroying itself. The guilds are at war with one another over a small piece to an ancient puzzle hidden within the Dragon's Maze. None of the guilds have the piece, and Jace knows this, yet the Guild Leaders won't even acknowledge his requests for presence. He then decides to pursue the piece on his own, finding it in the hands of a human Pyromancer, named Chandra. After stealing it from her, she pursues him across a variety of planes. Jace then makes a fatal mistake, causing him to rift to a realm no planeswalker has ever come across: Equestria.

I'm enjoying it.
Keep going. You're doing fine.
Liked and Faved, I can't wait for more!

I LOVE it. This type of stuff was WAY overdue.

You get a like and a favorite. Good job!

Do you think you could add Nicol Bolas?

2520807
She is if you take something from her! ;D

2520852
Was def planning on it!

Dominaria is destroyed by the great mending at this point in time

think about putting fluttershy garruk and Domi rade all together think about it 3 beastmasters in one place

2521584
Is says "Alternate Universe" for a reason! And already included A bond between Garruk and Fluttershy in my head, itll be there soon.

2521727 but not Domri Rade he is just as much of a beast master as the other two also the great mending is what stopped planeswalkers from being god like and immortal

2521799
Dominaria lies in ruins at the moment but is being fixed by Teferi. The Llanowar still exists and so does the whole of Dominaria. Though, Skyshroud Forest doesn't exist at all anymore. And about Domri... I'm not sure yet, because he's not core and I wasn't sure If i was rifting anyone to Ravnica yet. But Garruk will be included for sure.

2523183 yet you are including bolas and I'm guessing Sorin both who are not core as they only appeared once in the core sets

Jace isn't from Ravnica, he's from a town called Silmot's Crossing (plane unknown, but Ravnica is the only city in the plane of Ravnica).

That said... I love the cover art. /commence read.

2523325
Ravnica IS Jace's home. After he left Silmot's Crossing, after completely destroying his teacher's mind, he erased his own memory and wandered to Ravnica. He lives in Ravnica, and it is his Home Plane now. That's what he thinks of it as. :twilightsheepish:

he could probably planeswalk to an unknown plane. But, no planeswalker would ever do such a thing.

I dunno, it happens pretty frequently, especially for newly-sparked 'walkers. Tibalt was a fairly regular human on Innistrad (although sadistic), then the inquisitors found him surrounded by devils. He cast a spell to merge himself with the devils, then his spark ignited and the planeswalked, despite not really knowing of the existence of other planes, much less knowing any particular other plane.

In the Eternities Map variant of Planechase, it's called a "Hellride" to planeswalk to an unknown plane.

Fluttershy seems awfully extroverted in that final scene. Liking the story so far, although I recommend an editor and/or prereader; there were a couple small mistakes that I noticed, though not enough to break the story. The Looking for Editors group can probably help you.

Okay, I misunderstood the description. I took it as "originating from" rather than "where he considers home." I can buy that.

OTOH, I'd be surprised that Jace couldn't get an audience with Niv-Mizzet. Prior to Ral Zarek taking over Jace's research on Azor I's Implicit Maze, Jace was the head researcher for the project, and Niv-Mizzet was "da bozz".

No planeswalker would do it voluntarily though. The newer planeswalkers did rift on accident, but, once again, not voluntarily.

And Fluttershy would definitely be pretty outgoing if it meant saving someone. She did speak a bit more than usual, but I wanted her and Jace to form a bit of a bond in the beginning.

Sorry about the mistakes, also. Thanks for the tips though!

I guess the problem for me becomes, if the planeswalkers only ever go to planes they've already been to, how to they learn about new planes?

I prefer hellriding as an actual thing, even if it's the difference between a hasty walk (such as Jace did while plummeting to his death) vs. a planned one. After all, despite their power (which is still quite high, even post-mending), there are many things in the multiverse that could crush a 'walker, and 'walkers tend to get into the nastiest of situations.

2523541
The way I think of it as, if they have time to prepare for a random planeswalk, and time to think and perfect the rift more, they aren't as bad as if one were to just completely, randomly planeswalk.
But, trust me, I completely understand what you're saying.

Magic fic :pinkiehappy:
Dis is gonna be good.

It also starts with my favorite planeswalkers. :pinkiehappy:

MTG/MLP? AND with the best Blue Planeswalker? Dude, count me in! :raritystarry:

Nicol Bolas was the only other being that Jace knew that could honestly say that he held more knowledge than him.

Eh? Jace has met Niv-Mizzet (hell, he's worked for Niv-Mizzet). Niv-Mizzet is, for all intents and purposes, omniscient (or near enough to omniscient that it doesn't really matter). Some members of the Izzet guild can access a portion of Niv-Mizzet's intelligence by being linked to the Firemind.

The only reason Niv hasn't taken over Ravnica is because ruling Ravnica would bore him. (And Niv isn't a planeswalker, so he can't go check out other planes.)

2525684
I was only comparing him to other walkers. I see Jace as very conceited, and would think he saw himself superior to Niv-Mizzet.
I'm pretty sure he could just read Niv-Mizzet's mind if he wanted, then he would know All The Thnings!:rainbowlaugh:

um.... don't plansewalker sparks only ignite under extreme circumstances? like near death, death of someone extremely close, a life changing discovery, you know, like that? just asking.

Hmm. Interesting. It would appear that stone, "infused with the power of planeswalkers," can either ignite or implant a Spark under the right circumstances. Either way, that's going to have some rather massive consequences.

Also, Fluttershy in Innistrad. I hope the Stare works on the undead...

I look forward to seeing where you're going with this. Oh, and one last thing:

Fluttershy, Bearer of Kindness 1WW
Planeswalker — Fluttershy
+1: You gain 1 life. If you have 10 or less life, you instead gain 3 life.
-1: Prevent all damage that would be dealt to creatures you control this turn.
-7: You get an emblem with "Whenever a creature deals combat damage to you, put that creature on top of its owner's library."

Sparks have already been shown as transferable; Glissa's spark was transferred to Slobad (on accident, thanks to a machine that Memnarch forced Slobad to build), and Slobad gave up that spark to save Glissa's life. Venser transferred his spark to Karn in order to cleanse the golem's heart of the Phyrexian taint.

Sparks can't be manufactured, but I don't see anything wrong with magic to ignite an existing spark. If the fated bearers of the most powerful magical artifacts in a plane all happen to have latent sparks... well, that's just fate :raritywink:

good job so far man i want to keep reading and hey i would recommend getting the secretiest for your kindle fire:pinkiehappy:

2526656
Here's mine!

Fluttershy, Element of Kindness, 1WWW
Planeswalker-Fluttershy
+1 - Target creature becomes a Critter in addition to it's other types.
-2 - Critters you control get +1/+2 until end of turn.
-7 - Tap all permanents target opponent control's. Those permanents don't untap during their opponent's next untap phase.
Starts with 3 Loyalty.

(Also, Creature type "Critter" was a new thing I added to the set, including 9 more Planeswalkers, and a new key word, "Harmonize".)

Also, Glad you find it interesting! Thanks for the support!

how many parts are you thinking of doing

2528783
Definitely a lot more. I've still got a lot of ideas I want to include. :scootangel:

well hurry them up im shaking in my boots

2528804
You can't hurry ART! The next part should be up by Monday. :yay:

your i dea for a flutter shy card should replace white with green

2528820
No, because each of the mane 6 is a different color, except for Dash, who I made UR, and Applejack needed to be green. So, Fluttershy was white. Each of the mane 6 is also a legendary creature, and Fluttershy focuses on lifegain. Which would make her be white.

but brothen how about a green white or change her ability and wat are each pony to each color

Garruk will be an earth pony, right?

Your record says you update often...
PLEASE CONTINUE! :fluttershbad:
You have the best MTG Crossover I've read!

I guess that makes Fluttershy WG. +1: Create a 2/2 green Bear creature token. -2: Target opponent skips his or her next combat phase.
:scootangel:

best MtG crossover so far. Keep it up. :pinkiehappy:

I can't help but worry whether or not the curse of the Veil can transfer over the soulbond. :unsuresweetie:

In any case, Garruk Wildspeaker cuddling Fluttershy is easily the most adorable mental image I've had today. I admit, though, I'm a bit disappointed at how quickly the matter was resolved. I was hoping for some sort of epic, Multiverse-spanning quest as Twilight searches for her friends after accidentally scattering them across the planes.
Oh well. Your story, your decision. I'm still looking forward to whatever you have in store.

Garruk's Guidance 3GG
Instant
Untap all Forests you control. You may cast creature cards this turn as though they had flash.
"Close your eyes. Calm your mind. Call for aid. It will come."
—Garruk Wildspeaker, to Fluttershy

(I hope you don't mind me making these...)

i can't believe the amazement that my friend is crafting:fluttercry:

2536351
Not at all! I'm glad your enjoying the story and using it as influence! :pinkiehappy:

2536351
Also, the "un-epicness" was because this was only a Subchapter. A lot of other things are going on at the same time. Trust me, It WILL get more epic as I continue, don't worry!:derpytongue2:

hahaha, I think that is awesome that Garruk is still human

:facehoof:
It was the Soulbond wasn't it? :twilightsheepish:
Jace is just going to die trying to figure that out...
... When we already know! :trollestia:

*mouth opens in shock*
*recovers*
You, my friend, get a gold star!!! Congrats.

Serra, you poor angel. You just can't get any peace on your "Safe" planes, can you? :rainbowlaugh:
