The state of Nocturne, that of the Lunar Ponies, was dissolved over four hundred years before the reign of Discord began, and quickly assimilated into Equestria proper.

Fast forward two thousand, five hundred years, and the unexpected happens: the Solar Princesses have died of old age, an unprecedented event that throws Equestria into chaos. In the span of a generation, old hatreds reignite, and for a species that is just reaching out towards the stars, it may prove to be a fatal conflict.

The new state of Nocturne is no exception. Divided by ancient ruling houses, and low on resources and moral, they can only watch in envy as the emerging Unicorn, Earth Pony, and Pegasi factions leave the nearly barren surface of Equis for the other planets in their system.

What they need is a victory, a leader, and a cause to rally them. Captain Astral Mist hopes to provide them with all of these, if she survives the coming battles.

And as the ponies clash over petty hatreds, how will the remaining ancients, beings as long-lived as the now-deceased Solar Princesses, react to the descent of their former charges?

Skyfire is declaired a triator by the enclave for refusing to kill a group of foals hidding in a ruin which he had been sent to clear with his squad. Only he had returned and thus lead to him being classed as a traitor. After escaping his death by his comrades he hides inside a cave that is half collapsed. Still in his hellfire armour, he stays there for a couple of days. However this caves secret shall shortly be revealed to him.

but where will this lead him?

The Imperium of Man has discovered Equestria. What will happen? Will the Imperium embrace friendship and harmony? Only time (and the Inquisition) will tell.

Twilight Sparkle, Princess of friendship. The element of Magic. With a knowledge most ponys only dreams of. Who has seen all of the four corners of the world. Who has defeated the deceiving Discord, the cunning Chrysalis and the terrible Tirek.

But tonight, she will face her biggest challenge yet.

In the wake of Granny Smith's passing, Apple Bloom finds herself shouldering responsibilities to make ends meet on Sweet Apple Acres. Despite her previous efforts to prove that she's grown up, she wants nothing more than to feel young and carefree again.

Note to the reader: I highly recommend that you read Bells and Whistles before reading this. A lot of character-building for Brass Button is covered in that story.

Flutes, oboes, xylophones, trombones. Brass Button makes them all. Most days pass by slowly as he toils away in his workshop, but like all of us, occasionally something interesting will come up.

Sarah Bule, Annabelle Betram, and Sandra Lenard fall into the pony world. Discord strikes up a conversation with them, and finds out some information that might serve useful.. Later on.

Most thought the Changelings dead or defeated. Mostly that is true. But for one Queen the rage of defeat grows until she can hold it no longer. Expunged from Canterlot and heartbroken over her losses Queen Chrysalis will have her revenge. Even if it means death will occur Canterlot will fall.

Shining Armor heads to the mall to hang out with his friends for the day, and spend the bits he earned from getting a good report card. What he doesn't know is it's going to end in an awkward encounter with the rest of his family, and Cadance, and confirms he in fact has a crush on her.

This story takes place during the Neigh anything arc of the comics where Shining Armor is a teenager, and everything has an 80's theme. The story is just a quick one off I did to go with my art "Ponies at the Mall" (the art used for the cover).
