When the main six all journey to a mansion Applejack inherited. Little do they know that the ominous dead woods they've been walking by is alive with darkness.

For centuries ponies had feared this forest, ponies say it is haunted and feasts upon innocence and that its shadows will chase you. Many claim that it's a myth but Fluttershy and Rarity will learn soon enough of its true darkness. Pinkie knows of it though, Pinkie knows the secret and of what it is capable of, she knows she can't speak of it.

Sunset Shimmer, self proclaimed as most powerfull unicorn of Equestria plots her way around being stranded in a world without magic, just before one meeting starts to slowly change everything...

After all, no one ever said, that there is a single path to power or alicornhood, or that it's supposed to be simple or straightforward... quite the opposite in fact.

She meets a stallion who sounds and looks like a certain boy that Sunset Shimmer mentioned in her story of Camp Everfree, and Flash butts in after Twilight dumped him the night before. This should be an interesting gala....

The Cutie Mark Crusaders go on a hunt for a dragon rumored to be hiding in the mountains outside of Ponyville. Instead, they find something a little different.

Hey all. This was written in 3 hours for the 2016 Everfree Northwest Writeoff competetion. This is an edited version that fixes problems I didn't have time to edit during the contest, but I may publish the original, unedited version as an extra chapter if anyone's interested. Anyway, enjoy :)

Phoenix Flamez is a kindly citizen of Appleloosa, having recently moved in shortly before the Gyaos attack. Thankfully unharmed and with the town back on the way to recovery, her mind drifts to other matters. It's then she had a chance meeting with quite possibly the most unique being Appleloosa has ever encountered.

And kaiju don't dance.

That's all I know. That's all I remember...

Though, there is a pink pony who seems to know me...

And yet... it all feels so... familiar...

Life has done nothing but gotten me down. It has only shown me pain and ridicule ever since the death of my parents, and even more so now that I've let everypony, including myself, down.

There's no reason to carry on living on this living Tartarus of a planet anymore, and so I think I'll end it here. Nice, quick and clean. I can finally say goodbye to my dreams and ambitions and fall to the consuming dark.
