Ponies have started disappearing off of the streets. The only evidence left behind is four hoof prints in the ground that are a couple inches deep. While the ponies above try to find those kidnapped the ponies beneath the ground work to return to the surface.

An evil sealed by Celestia after the Nightmare War has finally escaped his prison, and unlike the other ancient evils that have returned to challenge the elements, he intends to wage war against not only Equestria, but the entire world.

In order to face this threat the Equestrians will have to reach out to to friends and enemies alike just to survive as the dead begin to stir and Darkness begins to rise.

The Mane Six are sent on a quest to find the Pieces of Harmony, which have been banished to the other world. How to find them? Nopony knows. But perhaps Twilight's associates at Canterlot High can help them. But with worlds colliding and a new threat facing the heroines, they'll need help from some unexpected company.

Takes place before Legends of Everfree.
This story was previously "The Bearers of Harmony" before being rewritten, which is why the upvote and downvote count are at where they are.

Spike just made a mistake. That's all it was. Letting his dragon instincts get the best of him wasn't really something that he could help, if Twilight reflected on the matter. If anything, it was Twilight's fault for not thinking about it. But everything worked out in the end. Spike was a kind dragon who never intended anything to go wrong. He just needed to be reminded of that.
