Five years ago, Dr. Natalie Sydney was contacted by an enigmatic extraterrestrial. Now, it's happening again.

This story was written for Equestria Daily's More Most Dangerous Game writing contest. It fulfills the My Little Dashie-inspired prompt. It was 11th-hour-proofread and edited by Nicknack.

As the story goes, when the two sisters ruled Equestria, one ruled the day and one ruled the night. The younger sister who ran the dark became jealous as ponies enjoyed the day and slept during the night. She started to hate her sister. Then one day, a mare walks into her dreams, and offers her power so great, that it can give her whatever she desired.

It was a fact, not a decision.

Equestria no longer needed anypony to bear the Elements of Harmony. So six mares suddenly found themselves in a position of incredible freedom. True, they all dreamt of a purpose outside of sitting around in Ponyville, waiting for an attack. They all had talents that could benefit elsewhere.

But everything isn't perfect. It never is.

This is my submission for Equestria Daily's The More Most Dangerous Game Writing Contest. The prompt was: A human finds a young pony abandoned in a cardboard box, and decides to raise her as his own.

In a darkened forest, a cult attempted to bring the spirit of King Sombra back to life. Their goal; imbue the spirit of King Sombra with far more dark magic than he ever had, and take over Equestria. When Twilight Sparkle intervenes, things go wrong, and something else is summoned. Something that Twilight is familiar with, and hoped to never have to deal with again.

Something that may not be worse than King Sombra taking over Equestria.

Something far, far more obnoxious.

I never thought I'd get a family of my own, let alone the one I have now. Then, one day when I got home, everything changed as soon as I saw a red cloak and the little gray Unicorn in it.
