Twilight Sparkle left Equestria willingly one day, leaving only a note explaining not to look for her. Her friends did regardless, causing themselves unfathomable pain. After a decade, they had nearly forgotten about her, moving on; one day, however, a mysterious mare enters Celestia's court seeking an audience. Celestia recognizes the mare under the cloak; it was her most faithful student! She had returned, but how have the sands of time changed her? Is she still the book-loving unicorn they once knew? And how will her friends react to her return from the grave?

6/7/14: This story, after reviewing my own work, I deemed a mess and decided to put this on hiatus a few weeks ago. It's not the writing itself but the story, its not constructed that well, my biggest problem being my AU Twilight is just a poorly thought out, she's suppose to be broken yet I basically portrayed her as OP. I may eventually continue this, but most likely If I did I would just rewrite it.

Apple Bloom grew up without any parents, due to both of them dying before she got to know them. Despite that she grew up happy with the family she had left. She and Diamond Tiara had very different upbringings, though their family had been friends for a few generations before them. What is it that has caused this divide between the formerly friendly families, and can it ever be patched up? Talking with Applejack, who has a few of her own skeletons from the past to bury, she begins to see why she and Diamond Tiara can't get along, and vows to help things change. But even if she gives her rival a chance, will Diamond Tiara accept it?

Purple Prosie seems to have everything a writer could ask for. She churns out a successful book every two months, the Princess Cadance claims to be her biggest fan, Purple Prosie has financial security, everything seems to be going well to anypony on the outside looking in.

From the inside looking out though, it is a very different story.

Purple Prosie is a deeply flawed individual with two companions, Morose and Melancholy. She has a growing addiction to alcohol. She's bitter and burned out on love.

And she hates everything she writes.

As I sit on this branch, looking at the town through the mangled, black branches, I began thinking about why I came here. About everything I left behind on Earth.

I wish I'd never have come here...
