First order of business:

My rewrite of No Matter How Dark is progressing slowly but surely. Let me just say that if you enjoyed the story even a little, you'll want to read it again when this rewrite is done. I'm telling you, the changes are drastic... for the better. I don't believe there will be any core plot changes, but the story certainly is going to have a complete overhaul. I wish I had done this before I even submitted the story, but that is in the past! Hope you haven't lost faith in me, I'll get this done. It's definitely a priority for me now.

Second order of business:

So as of tonight, I will be participating in the Equestria Daily Artist Training Grounds!

I don't know if anypony knows this about me (or cares to know), but I REVERE artists! Seriously, we have an artist in my acappella group at NIU, and he's, like, my favorite person ever. If it's something that I've always wanted to to, it's learn how to draw. Without further ado, I shall begin to hone my nonexistent artist skillz.

In case anypony wishes to track my progress, I'll hopefully be able to submit things under my name, Picardy Third.

While I should be writing, re-writing, and revising, I am instead watching old stand-up videos of Sam Kinison, Bill Hicks, and George Carlin.

Best stuff ever.

I've always loved stand-up. It's one of four things I still use my television four, the other three being video games, ponies, and spongebob.

A full revision/rewrite of No Matter How Dark is now underway. As I went over it, I realized exactly how badly it needs it. I think it'll be fun to relive the story again and perhaps flesh it out a little more. I just feel... untapped potential with the story. This rewrite is exactly what it needs.

Well, technically 'this morning' considering it's 5AM and I haven't slept yet...

Oh well! 'Tis the life.

Up next on the revision chopping block is either 'Don't Cry' or 'No Matter How Dark'

(most likely the former)

Seriously, I have been at this for hours today. HOURS UPON HOURS.

And I'm only halfway done.

And that story is only about 13,000 words originally.

My goodness, I dread the day that I go through No Matter How Dark...

I figure...

If I'm ever going to become any good at something, I need to focus on it completely.

I know, duh.

I just have to either make a decision or settle for mutual mediocrity.

Writing fanfiction... or writing music?

FFFFFFFUUUUUUU

See, I love writing fanfiction, and it takes up most of my time, but music is my major and SHOULD be what I love most, even though it's not. Besides, there's not a whole lot of room in the brony music scene for a trombonist.

Oh well, I play guitar.

And that's another thing... I find it a nearly impossible task to attempt to make a name for yourself in the brony music scene, at least to me. I don't know why, it's just that with those like Mic, Tombstone, Aviators, and everypony else of equal or higher popularity up there... oh, look at me being cynical. I'm not cynical. I do not like cynicism. I'm a happy person!

TL;DR, I'm a better writer than I am a musician, and music is my passion. Interesting fork in my road of my life here.

I think perhaps another oneshot and I can begin the real work on my next project.

I wonder what it could be...

Although, for now I believe I'm currently going to crack down and REALLY revise No Matter How Dark for possible submission to Equestria Daily. Who knows? Maybe they'll like it.

I have one more try for Miss Mary, and I believe they'll take it this time (but who knows with those prereaders...)

As far as my next oneshot... it's a bit unusual (if I finish it), and a little different from my usual style, but... eh, maybe it'll work... again, if I finish it. I like writing oneshots. They're much easier to keep focused on.
