RIP John Lennon · 7:22pm
It seems a lot of great musicians died in the last few months of the year, and today is no exception. It's been thirty-two years now since John died, and with him so did the chance of The Beatles ever coming back together. I was never alive when he was, and I never got the chance to see or meet him, but his music still lives on. It hasn't been easy being Bipolar for the past few years, and sometimes I even feel like giving up on all of this. But music, John Lennon more specifically, made me realize that we all have our own problems, our own handicaps. But what's important isn't sitting around and moping, what really matters is accepting ourselves and pushing on through life. He meant so much to me, and I can only imagine what he would have accomplished had he not been shot.
These three songs were some of his best, and they all seem to mean so much more at this time of the year. I think John really was one of the wisest men to have ever lived, he explained so much and so many meanings in such simple songs. He may be gone now, but we can still remember all that he said. Make love not war, give peace a chance, and all you need is love.
RIP John, I don't think the world will ever forget about you.
