Looking for Editors
Do you want to connect with an editor, or find a story to edit? This is the group for you!
Editors and Pre-Readers are marked as contributors (or admins).
Editors are notified whenever a new story is dropped into one of the folders. Then, they can glance at your work and see if they're interested in helping you edit.
Pre-Readers are sort of like proto-editors. They're there to catch big mistakes and offer general feedback quickly.
If you need quick help with a scene, an idea, or some dialogue, drop it in the Quick Help folder and make a post in the message board detailing what you need.
Looking for an editor?
Put your story in one of the Looking For folders and an editor may pick it up.
Message an admin with extra information and we may decide to try to hunt down an editor for you.
(If you don't want to publish the story right now, drop a link in the Requests for Unpublished Stories thread. Read the rules there, too.)
Looking to edit some stories?
Join the group and message an admin. Then, get to pre-reading and editing.
Don't forget to strike up some conversation with the author if you're interested in editing, though.
Once an author has accepted help, the story should be removed from the folders and message board. Unless, of course, more editors or pre-readers are still needed.

I'm looking for an editor for A Trusted Friend in Science and Ponies. Readers have noticed various grammatical errors in the 5 chapters I've posted so far, and I'm looking to clean them. I'd like an editor to help with these chapters, as well as proofreading new chapters before they are posted.
I think I found an editor, and the comments have been helpful.
There have been some criticisms, so I'm also looking for a proofreader who will help me address these issues.

I'm looking for an editor for my fanfiction. It's a Human in Equestria fanfiction, but unlike many HiEs, I hope to make it more different.
I'll lay out the whole premise and what I intend to incorporate to whoever will be my editors (yes, I welcome more than one editor).
Be warned though. I'm not looking for an editor just for the grammar, but also for the story content. I need editors that will help me in my story consistency, subject matter usage, and if I stay in spirit with the characters of the show.
This also means that I'll be spoiling the story before I write the chapters to my editors. So this is for anyone who'd like to be spoiled and be in on the fanfiction.

Hi there. I'm looking for an editor for my first story, Twilight's Dawn, an epic grimbright which is currently 30K words and complete (it is a part one of four planned stores in the series). I really want someone with experience; the story is at 41/4 and most of the critical comments I've received have been been by readers who would have preferred it to stay grimdark, rather than criticisms of the quality of the writing. There were a couple of commentors who made good suggestions regarding the style, and I've gratefully incorporated those already.
I think I may need to flesh it out some more but I'm not sure if or where it would need to be done. Also, my paragraphs tend to be a little dense and I may need some help there. Post-edit, I'd like to send it in to the critics and if it does well there, submit to EQD.
I am working on an entirely different story right now (Harold and Kumar Go to Equestria) which will keep me busy for a while, so I'm not champing at the bit to start Twilight's War or whatever it will be called. No pressure.
I am also a critic over at TECS and that keeps me plenty busy as well. However, I really don't have time to edit for anyone else. I sort of hope that if someone volunteers to edit for me it is someone who is much better writer than I am anyway...
so they won't need me to do the quid pro quo thing. Anyway, thanks. See what I mean about dense paragraphs?

I am a new writer here at Fimfiction and I've been reading stories for a few months now and have finally decided to try a few of my own. I have started a first person shipping story focused on Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in assisting me.
My goal here on Fimfiction is to the produce the best stories possible for the site. I am very easy to work with and take criticism and suggestions very well. I love this fandom and the characters featured in the show and I want to do justice to both.
The story is a dark TwiPie story (no, not Cupcakes dark). Pinkie's sister has fallen ill and the only cure can be found by journeying into the caverns of Ghastly Gorge. Pinkie Pie out of desperation has left in the middle of the night to find the cure on her own, and Twilight will do everything she can to find her and make sure she is safe.

I made a story on Fanfiction named The Demon's Within. My friend says I should post it on FIMFiction, but I need a whole bunch of editing done on the story.
