A group focused on helping those new to Fimfiction, and to writing fanfiction in general, to make themselves at home on the site. For now, if you have any questions or need any help, please head on over to the General Questions forum thread, and ask away.
If you'd like more detailed feedback, please add your story to the "Detailed Feedback Requested" folder and include in the comments section information on what particular facet you would like feedback on. Once your story has received feedback and you have made revisions, please move the story to the "Stories That Have Received Feedback" folder so that everyone in the group can see your polished and improved work!
If you have any other questions, just PM a moderator (one of the users listed to the left who has a crown).

Hello! I have added An Old World for Fluttershy to the "more detailed feedback" folder. Of course, I'm definitely looking for any kind of criticism I can get, but my main concern lies with how quickly I jump around, especially in the beginning. Thanks!!
Hello everybody,
I just added Spike the Knight.
It is an action adventure story with Spike as the main character. I would like some opinions, likes/dislikes or any kind of feedback you can offer.
Hope you enjoy.
My story is Story for a Sick Pony
I am looking for comments on how well the story is turning out and if there is anything I should improve on such as pacing and combining the two stories of Rainbow and Scootaloo
Hey everybody, looking for feedback on my first story, Revolution Equestria. Looking for critique on story content rather than writing style right now, I'm already in the process of going back and fixing a few things with that.
Hey everypony! I'm looking for feedback for my two works-in-progress, "Frozen Over" and "Her First Bass Drop", I'll place the latter in the "Detailed Feedback" folder, since it is my newest story.
Hello all! Just looking for some feedback on my newest story Sunset of Time. Feel free to read it and tell me what you like, don't like or what can be improved. And how i can avoid turning the main character into a mary-sue if you feel she's heading in that direction.
I just posted an unfinished story that has chapters, and a One-Shot. I want feedback on both of them, what did you like, and what did you dislike.
Stories won't change, I just want to know if people like it for future Fics that will be made.
Hey, I just posted a story in the Detailed Feedback folder called Evil Rising. I would like criticism pertaining to the overall plot progression and characterizations, if you guys aren't too busy.
Hello. I am still new to writing fanfiction and for my story, Von's Equestrian Travels, I would like to know if there is anything about my grammar that needs to be edited or improved

Ostensibly yes, although the group seems pretty much inactive at the moment. However, I'm trying to do a little going-over of our archives to perhaps wake everybody up, so now might be a good time!
So, I'm not new to writing or fanfic, but if I still wanted more detailed feedback on stories, could I still post?
Joined because I can.
>>284752 Ahaha, I had intended on two things.
First, you already know, I was trying to get the story noticed to see if I was keeping with Fluttershy's character (It's my first story for this fandom, but not my first fiction)
The second would be I was searching for reader's who could provide legit feedback on the writing itself. So I'll be sending you a request for feedback soon. And thank you for clearing this up.

Oops! Sorry, but looking at the story you submitted, it seems like you're a fairly new writer looking to archive your stuff and expose it to a larger audience, correct? That isn't really the purpose of the folders at the present time. For the moment, we're reserving the folders only for the absolute best examples of work within that folder's specification, so as to have a collection of good examples for newer writers to refer back to. (Obviously, we haven't quite got that set up yet.) We don't yet have a method of showcasing new work, but we'll be working on it.
Unfortunately, in light of this, I'm going to remove your story from the folders in which you've placed it, since readily avaliable metrics don't seem to indicate it as being one of the best examples of work within those genres on this site. If you want a second opinion on that, please suggest the story for evaluation in the 'Adding New Stories To Folders: Discussion' thread on the forum.
If you were looking for detailed feedback on your work, please PM myself or another admin with the story title and the element of the story you want feedback on (plot, characterisation, etc.), and we'll place it in the Detailed Feedback folder to be reviewed. Thank you!
(I forgot to add a lot of this in the writeups, so don't feel like you've done anything wrong.
After all, you can't help what I forget!)
>>284750 Thank you.

Yup, should be. I should actually make some more folders, too.
Hello. I have just one quick question, is it possible to submit a story to two folders?
>>284453 OHAY. I also have a request of you, old editor of mine.
>>284450 Ohai.
Welcome.
JOINED BECAUSE why not and hello.
