The Transformations group is dedicated to collecting stories that involve, in some substantial fashion, the physical transformation of characters in the story into someone or something else.
Transformation allows for a lot of things that would not normally be possible in a story. It lets characters experience a different perspective than their own, one they couldn't have imagined otherwise. It allows for situations of humor and drama that lay beyond the basic. Sometimes, it's just interesting to see how someone reacts to being in a new form and a new life, whether that involves fleeing from persecution, finding new friends, or adapting to a new reality entirely.
Posting Guidelines:
Stories must involve a physical transformation of one into the other, either before the story begins or at some point later.
a) Stories that will feature transformation in a substantial way, according to the author, are permitted.
b) Stories that have characters being different as a condition of the story (for example, in this universe, Twilight is actually a stallion) are not permitted unless they also involve a transformation.
If in doubt, please view the thread on fics that do or don't belong.
Our forum is open for all sorts of friendly discussion. Be cool to each other, and remember that we're a group with a wide variety of tastes and interests. Have fun!

Ummm I'm just wondering would a story where the CMC realize who their past lives where and a flash of light and they are wearing the clothes their past lives used to wear be cosidered a transformation
In my case they were the 3 Playable lords in Fire Emblem: Rekka No Ken

"Princess Celestia: The Changeling Queen" should not be in the Changelings folder as there are no transformations. Celestia was replaced shortly after banishing Luna in the store.

It is simple. Just click on Add to group button on any story and it will provide a list of groups that you have joined. Click on one of those groups and it will provide sub-groups most of the time. Like in the Transformations group there is a sub-groups for alicorns, monsters and stuff like that. Then click on one of them. Then there is a notification to those that joined the group.

Yeah, thats how it works. Join a group and you can add stories relating to your group and only to your group.

How the hay does that work? the only settings I see on stories I like that allow for "submit to group" ive found, were on my own... ^_^;

If anyone would care to do a little pruning, let me know. I think some have slipped in that aren't actually transformations.
Also, anyone can add stories if they see one that looks like it fits. If you think a category needs to be added, let me know.
