MainWelcome to Art for Fanfiction! Where Writers and Artists of the great brony community combine in a creative environment. An artist who can draw, but can't write? A writer looking for cover-art, or illustration, but terrible at drawing? Then this group is perfect for you!
Group Guidelines
1.) Any artist that would like to be seen on the group, post a comment below with your deviant art account. It will be posted in the group description.
2.) Any fanfic writer that would like to make a request, either
a.) Note the artist from their deviant account link
b.) Reply to their comment on the main page where they post their deviant account
c.) Use the message (envelope) function to their FIMfiction account
d.) Use the "Speak Up Writers" Thread. NOT THE GROUP DISCUSSION BELOW
3.) In a request, unless it is intentionally left vague for the artist (which is somewhat recommended) to use, please detail what you want your cover art, or illustration to look like.
4.) Artists may make requests for writers to write stories about if they have a piece of artwork they would like to be turned into a fic.
a.) Follow options a-c for writers
b.) Use the "Writers for Artwork" Thread. NOT THE GROUP DISCUSSION BELOW
Rules
1.) All Artists have the full right to reject offers and requests.
2.) No badgering of any kind. That's just annoying to keep asking an artist if they keep saying no.
3.) No rushing of the artists. The artists have the right to work at their own pace
4.) No hateful comments of another, or another person's artwork. C'mon, that's just mean.
5.) Artists, only post art that are SFW. No cloppy or gory pics (if you really want to post it, email your administrator to check it)
If any of these rules are broken, or taken across the line, the administrator has the right to delete your comment, or ban you from the group.
One other thing: If you use an artist's art, needless to say, please recognize them in some way, shape or form. Just a form of gratitude that should be taken to heart.
It is also the only way you can be able to place fics in the Fanfiction Successful Cover-Art folder.

Muffins and Waffles- Derp
Art Samples- Think of it as my group's version of drawfriend. This thread will offer samples of different artist's artwork, so that their styles can be seen and determined if they are wanted for their own cover art or illustrations.
Speak up Artists- Think of it as a hub for artists to let other writers know their status in terms of projects.
Speak up Writers- Think of it as a hub for writers to pitch illustration ideas for their stories, as well as discuss other projects.
Writers for Art- Think of it as the complete opposite of Speak Up Writers. Rather than pitching story ideas to artists, artists can pitch story ideas to writers! Maybe post some art they'd like see become a piece of fanfiction.
Other Stuff (Name Subject to Change)- This is for writers to post if they already have an artist to work with, or otherwise. This is just to see how good or bad things are going, and to see if I shouldn't try and push things along. Also, this is going to be for members of the group that desire to make suggestions to better the group and/or get it more known. In a way, this is kind of the Social thread.

I'm working full time but I sometimes have some free time to do simpler, character focused cover pieces if any-one needs something :) Drop me a line.
I want to become more active on this site but when it comes to writing I'm sloooooooooww. So I figured drawing (which is what i do) would be a better idea

I kinda new to doing deviations for fanfics, but I have read them for some time and have a feeling for some of the art commonly used. I am most skilled at drawing and sketches, while I don't do many computer creations and I am not as good at them. Most of the stuff I create is without color, but I attempt to make up for that in shading. I don't require any money, but tips are appreciated, but only if you think it is deserved. You can look over my creations so far on my page. And if I don't get to you within a few days of a message I'm sorry, and understand if you get someone else to do your commission. I will continue to copy your vision until you are happy with it's outcome. The only real limitation I have in terms of drawings are humans, besides them I can draw virtually anything with enough effort. I'm usually on my skype: deathmachine590, and always respond on that if I'm online. (Just as a backup.)

I was wondering if any artist might possibly be able to do a piece of cover art for my fic, Reverie. I've only got the Prologue and first chapter, but I was hoping for a cover piece based more off of the Prologue really. My fic is a more mature one, an adventure to test the limits of the Mane Six and explore the past of the Princesses, seeing how it comes to play into the lives of the Six (I suppose if you found this idea cool, you could use it too). I'm planing to put them in dangerous situations, and really amp up the level of darkness I can play with (I do realize I'm probably making it sound a bit silly). If you like, you can take a look at what I have so far, and if interested, PM me!

Ok so I'm writting my story and I have a coverart for it but the problem is that this cover is only good for the first big ark of the story.
I want someone that could draw my two mane OC's with Fluttershy since she's their mother in my fic, and if possible I would also like to have the main villain in the background smirking at them.
A little like the coverart for FO:E Murky Seven, I don't know if I'm too demanding but if I am I'm willing to go for a less complicated fanart

Whelp, here I go!
So, I'm writing 2 stories that are of close relation to each other. One is a crossover with NGE, the other is not, but part of the same universe.
For the crossover one, I would like to have this picture with Twilight Sparkle put into it in some form. I'm very flexible. Heck the entire thing can be redone by hand or digitally, as long as it conveys the same message.

For the non-crossover story, I would like a picture of this Semi-OC Pony comforting a crying Trixie Lulamoon. Background can be the Crystal Empire, plains, forest, etc *This will affect the outcome of the story when the event does happen*.

Umm I'm very new to groups and things, but I'm writing a story. It's called 'There's a Storm Comin' ' and I would love to have illustrations. I just used a picture off the Internet for the cover photo if that's actually allowed, and would be very pleased for that to be redone too... Anyone wanting to be my artist?

Anyway, after my laast cover art looking like Kratos had some kind skin disease, I am wondering if any of you talented people would be willing to draw your version of a Pony Kratos? Hey, looking for an artist to do some cover art for two stories (heck, just one would be a blessing). As for payment, I am fully willing to write (for one drawing) either an ongoing fic(no real word count, as my chapters are usually 1.4k-2k words), or two-three one-shots; either way, it'll be up to said artist what the story is about and which characters are involved; I will have no say over the matter(as it should be). But the stories are Blood of the Past: Insanity has Consumed Me, which is anthro, and deals with an ex soldier who was fed experimental drugs while serving, and also has to cope with four voices in his head, brought on by both PTSD and guilt(note that this story is told in a story form, from Drifter's perspective, he also ends up with Luna).
The other story is Schoolhouse of the Dead, which is a pony version of the anime/manga Highschool of the Dead. If you're willing to do either, please PM me
