Welcome to the FimFiction group for The Conversion Bureau!
We have many many talented writers among us, and here is one of the many places we can share what tales and stories we can see in this scenario! We've been a community of friends and writers for almost a year now, and we plan to keep going!
Anyone is allowed to submit stories to the group, so have at it. The only reason we've gotten to be so big is because we always have more writers joining us out of the blue, so if you feel like you have an idea for a story, write it down and post it. We'll give you constructive criticism to help you improve your writing skills and storymaking. From complete novices to fully fledged novelists, everyone is encouraged to participate. Monthly writing events will take place starting in mid-February, with a new theme announced at the start of each event.
There are many folders (detailed below) and classification is up to the Author initiallly, but incorrectly-attributed stories may be moved or removed by a group admin.
NOTE: These will be undergoing house-cleaning in the near future, you may need to re-add your stories.
NOTE: Anti-TCB stories break from the "norm" of TCB. Broadly speaking, they ascribe darker, less benevolent (or even malevolent) intentions to the prime mover, Celestia, and to the conversion bureaus in particular.
Main: Melting pot of any and all otherwise unclassified TCB stories. Multiple posts in main and in the more-correct folder is allowed. If you feel a classification folder is missing, ask a group mod.
Featured Stories: Stories which best display the talents behind the authors in the TCB universe go here. One per customer.
Traditional: Reserved for mainly the earlier stories set in the TCB mythos. Equestria is usually expanding, Earth (in pretty dire straits) is usually going to be consumed, purification may happen. Also contains older one-shots and series that would otherwise not be classifiable as their own universe, such as Sidelines and Ten Rounds.
Yellowstone: No expansion, No Purification, Mankind gained Equestria as a neighbour more or less, along with all the races within it.
Chatoyance-Verse: Equestria is an expanding pocket universe with physics deadly to terrestrial life and will consume the planet in eight years, the Earth is over-exploited and ruined but everyone is fed, ponification is the only ticket to Lifeboat Equestria and is offered freely as a choice, HLF and PER are present. Essentially a "disaster movie" feeling.
Gammaverse: TCB written within Guardian Griffon's universe.
Cloudyverse: TCB set within Fangwarden's universe.
Other One-shots: One-shot stories set in universes that aren't any of the major ones listed above.
Other Series: Longer stories set in universes that aren't any of the major ones listed above.
Anti-TCB One-Shots: One-shot Anti-TCB stories go here.
Anti-TCB Series: Longer Anti-TCB stories go here.
Finally, this group is one that is for the fostering of a cooperative, friendly and safe creative environment. To that end, any user found to be harassing another will be asked to stop twice. If they fail to heed the second warning, or they have three incidents of harassment, then they will be removed from the group. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Depending on the nature of the incident, the user(s) in question may be reported to Knighty and/or Poultron at administrator discretion. For clarification, harassment is defined as insulting another user personally on faith, sexual orientation, gender, or any other qualifying attribute; insulting a user's chosen writing style, or insulting their authorverse as a whole. If a user asks you to stop, or that they consider a comment of yours harassment, do not take it upon yourself to reply or retaliate. An impartial, uninvolved administrator will handle the incident as quickly as possible.

hi there is this the group that supports ACB stories?? I take the ACB preference myself but I think a really broad spectrum of different kinds of equestrian stories wether it be anti or pro conversion bureau shouldn't be a huge issue. every viewpoint creates a fresh perspective and different original storyline. I'd say they're all good in their own right it's each individuals choice.

I can't speak on behalf of the TCB group but I can tell you that I don't think anyone in here is spamming the ACB and if it is regarding your name change it really isn't our fault or problem. I think it falls within the controls of the ACB moderators and how they handle themselves as a group.

Time and time again we have to remove entire threads just because of spam attacks.
I am not demanding the change of anything here, I have no right. I was just stating that it doesn't make sense how people from here make the time to spam us because of a name. When their own group uses the exact same thing.
But yes, you are right about the name change. It was to make us look less like a hate group, and I hope I didn't make it sound like I was saying it was because of a spam attack.
But, like I stated, there was a 'spam attack' that included hatefull messages regarding the ACB groups name.
That is all I was trying to say.

Its the way we organized the folders and from what I've seen we weren't complaining about the ACB. I believe when Knightly was going to close down the ACB, Valkaden changed the name in order to show that it was another group of TCB instead of it being portrayed as some sort of hate group that most people view it as.
If I'm wrong then shoot me a PM with a link or something and I'll try and figure it out then I'll talk to Krass about it to see about changing the folders but I doubt the folders will be changed because its easier to identify what is what in the group. I mean the ACB was made for those kind of stories, this group is just TCB as a whole.
UUhhh what is with the Anti-TCB thing here? Alot of TCB people bitched about how Anti-Conversion Bureau was offensive or something.
So we renamed our group Alternative-Converstion Bureau, when suddenly the group of which the people who bitched about our groups name uses Anti-Converstion Bureau!
I am confused? Did I miss something? What was the point in those spam attacks about our groups name when you people use it freely?

There are more TCB stories other than an Evil Celly. I mean TCB isn't some sort of collaborative effort but just a bunch of stories that share the concepts of "potions turning people into ponies and Equestria appears on Earth in a bubble."

Ehhh TCB is TCB and its the way the author writes it. Most of the time Celly isn't evil because most of the time she's not in the stories. The only time she appears are in the conversion dreams or when the author forces her in. The times she is evil are usually in Anti TCB stories and comes of overbearing in most of Chatoyance's stories. But don't worry this group has a ton of TCB stories and often times usually gets a few posted here.
To be honest I was skeptic about these TCB stories, but then I felt like I should read one of them which is my favorite right now 'the other side of the spectrum'. After reading it so far I never felt so hooked to it. It has a good amount of drama and action. It also shows how much I hate sunbutt and her so called 'helping', nonetheless these stories actually look great. Can wait for more stories!

something happened and suprise (the pony that pinkie was based on) ends up the formula technician temp at the TCB: bureau in St george utah.
well things go wobbly and a adult male ends up turning into a babyfoal
basically the potion is pink, and tastes like strawberries.
I have an idea for an alternate universe. Equestria has broken onto Earth, the barrier is expanding, humans are probably going extinct, you know. This diverges when Celestia considers conversion, and happens to find it repugnant. Maybe someone could write something about humanity's fate in such a universe.
