Welcome to the LGBT group! This is group for Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, questioning and allies. More importantly, a group for fics that support or represent LGBT themes. Good examples of this are 'Black and White' and 'Social Standards'. Please don't submit just any f/f m/m fic, only those similar to the aforementioned ones that take a serious approach to subject. This will also double as a support group of sorts, for those who need it to.

Please keep it civil. Please treat each other with respect.

*NEW IMPORTANT RULE*: If you have a fic you think belongs here, PM it to me (Krass) along with why you think it should be here.

Hello, everyone. The name's Telefang.

Let me be straightforward. I am transgendered, female-to-male, AKA born female, wishing to transition as male. As for sexual orientation, I identify as a heterosexual male. I like females.

I am currently writing a fanfic about Scootaloo being FTM. I'm not a very literate person, so any feedback would be appreciated very much.

I would also like general feedback from the other members of this group about their gender or sexual identity. I'd like to get to know you all! :pinkiehappy: I am open to PMs from anyone that just wants to ask questions about myself and/or my gender identity (don't be shy, I'm very open ), anyone who is dysphorically questioning and needs a little nudge to get themselves out of the frustrating rut they're in, or if anyone just wants to chat. I'd be glad to talk to anyone here and make some friends! :pinkiehappy:

Hey gang, thanks for featuring another story of mine. It makes my day to see that not only is there a group for this but that my stories are considered part of it.

Hey! I saw this group and kind of had to join.. I'm Bisexual (I think.. It might be Pansexual, actually, but to be honest, I never bother with the fiddly little names for everything.) and.. Um.. Well actually, that's all I really have to say. :rainbowlaugh:  I freaking love the LGBT community, so keep doing what you're all doing!

Hullo! Ally here. Married straight dude, though. Working on spreading the message of the Christian Left.

The brony community as well as the LGBT are generally an accepting bunch, so a combination of the two should only be more accepting.:rainbowlaugh:

Glad to see more bi people like yourself. Perhaps we could be friends. :rainbowkiss:

Welcome to the group! As someone who's bi as well, it's nice seeing more of us out and about. I've only been here a week or two, but everyone's been very friendly and accepting.

Hello everyone /) kinda weird announcing my presence here, but I just wanted to share a story :pinkiecrazy:. I've been slowly coming out, first through the internet to give hints to those around me until I feel I'm ready.

I was always neutral to my sexuality (and to all things love) when I was a kid, but hey, who wasn't? When the whole gay rights thing started kicking in, I didn't really have an opinion on the subject. A couple years later, someone who came out in school was being assaulted by a bunch of bullies down the street. I went there to help, and needless to say, got my ass handed over to me as well :facehoof:.

Since then we were pretty close friends. He introduced me to some of his gay friends, and I realized I might have been cooking up feelings for one of them. It was a silly teenager crush that eventually went away, but was enough to make me realize how I am. If I like someone it's for who that person is, and not what they carry in their pants.

Sorry about the rant, went a big long I guess:twilightsheepish: hoping to make friends in here :pinkiehappy:

*raises hoof*

I'll agree that everyone should be treated with respect, and that it's very difficult when someone doesn't want to treat you with respect, especially when they won't say why.  That's why I believe in being very open and honest with people if something makes me uncomfortable.  If you're polite in how you mention it, the issue can be resolved amicably most of the time.

What you mean, "you people"? lol, j/k *ruffles your mane* :scootangel:

The last thing on my mind when talking to somebody else are the trivial distinctions that make them different from me. To me, everybody deserves respect, even if I don't agree with them (which can be tough if they're unwittingly offending me). So long as they show respect back and accept that I'm different from them, I can't see us having any issues :ajsmug:

I'm pan/bisexual, btw. Show of hooves: How many of us are there out there?

I'm fairly quote-unquote "normal" (why can't they just say straight?) but after the whole "anti LGBT" advertising I saw at the school next to mine, I decided to get interested in the clearly one sided topic. and lo, I find this great group!

I'm also fascinated by the social implications of being forced into the opposite gender (transformed by magic maybe) and decided to make a fic about it and needed some proper advice, I don't want to wall o' text here so ill stop talking. :twilightblush:

Hi everyone! I'm very glad to now be a part of this group!

For the past year, I have been considered an LGBT activist among my community. I am the president of my school's Gay-Straight Alliance and I have partaken in many important LGBT events, such as the Day of Silence and The Laramie Project. Now, I can be active in the fandom that I've held so dear to me for so long.

I will try my best to contribute to this fabulous group! If anyone needs advice/help/condolence, feel free to PM me. (Or PM me just for fun! I like making friends!)

P.S. I myself am bisexual.

Hello there, everyone.  My name is Cormac, and I guess you could put me down as bisexual.  Or, as Michael Stipe prefers to call it, simply "sexual."

It feels really weird announcing this to a forum of strangers, but I hope I can meet some like-minded people here and maybe even make a few friends.
