‘They’ are the shadowy figures lurking just beyond the corners of your eyes, pulling the strings of reality and shaping it to better suit their intentions. They are the celestial bureaucracy, ensuring that everything works together orderly, smoothly, and harmoniously. And, in order to do that, They sometimes have to change a few things.

Things like changing a stallion named Cloud Buster into a lithe cyan mare with a multicolored mane and tail, renaming her Rainbow Dash, giving her a new set of friends, and changing just about everything about her life. However, Cloud—Rainbow—whoever he or she is now—isn’t willing to give up her old life, or her choice in her own destiny, without a fight.

I don’t question the “life” bar floating over my head, or my “EXP” gauge, or the little phantasmal boxes that appear whenever I look at an “equippable” object that show its “statistics.” It’s normal for small messages to appear in the sky every now and then, such as [System update in 2 hours.] My kind worships the Developers, higher beings that direct, create, and control everything we see. It’s all normal. This is how things have always been, since I was born. My father, my grandfather, my ancestors have all accepted and coped with these elements.

So why does everything feel so... fake?

My name is Twilight_Sparkle, and I know there’s something wrong here.

Fluttershy was beginning to worry why everypony was acting like she wasn’t there—more so than usual—until she discovered that despite spending most of the day in Ponyville, she’d never even gotten out of bed. At least, her body hadn’t... Nor was it breathing...

Even if Fluttershy isn’t ready to give up on life just yet, The AfterLife is calling, and it isn’t patient.

In a future Equestria, when all Hell literally breaks loose, what will one pony and her friends do when they find that the monsters in the darkness may very well be nothing compared to the darkness within themselves?

A power-mad tyrant wielding the might of a god through wearing Princess Celestia’s own power armor. A perfect supercomputer who sees perfection as nothing more than the final extermination of all life. And six mix-and-match companions, pawns in a chess game between the two. When the stakes are beyond life and death, can the pieces on the board hope to come out the winners? Will they somehow find a way to make the sadist gamemasters wish they had never dared to play?

A "Fallout: Equestria" collaboration between Chaotic Dreams, GaruuSpike, Pinkawne Pie, and Raydner.

Like so many ponies, Rainbow Dash was blissfully oblivious to the secret war raging since the birth of Equestria between The Arcanum and The Assassins. Rainbow discovers that she is descended from The Assassins when she and her friends are pony-napped by The Arcanum, who force Rainbow to relive the memories of her ancestors through a special spell caled "The Animus" so that they can discover the locations of lost artifacts of tremendous power. With these artifacts The Arcanum hopes to rule all of Equestria, and unless Rainbow figures out a way to stop them before it's too late, they very well may.

But as Rainbow relives the lives of her ancestors from the era of Starswirl the Bearded through the reign of Discord and even up through the war against Nightmare Moon, she discovers that something much larger than the freedom of Equestria is at stake, and that the ponies are just pawns in a giant game that very well may result in the destruction of all Equestria.

In a sequel to "Princess," the reborn young alicorn mare Rainbow Dash must save her family from the hands--yes, hands, not hooves--of a race thought long extinct. If she doesn't, not only will the royal family be killed by advanced technology that can destroy even the immortal alicorns, but this race will exploit the power of the alicorns and Doctor Whooves' TARDIS to take over all space and time.

Legendary Square-Enix character designer and game director Testsuya Nomura discusses (or rather, argues) with MLPFIM creator Lauren Faust about what a MLPFIM video game would be like. Of course, each wants to incorporate their own signature styles while simultaneously bringing the concept to a whole new level. Can they do it? Or will they destroy each other in the process?

A look at what an MLPFIM video game would be like…if it was designed by Square Enix.
