The legend of Nightmare Moon has never been lost to ponykind. The jealous younger sister, corrupted by her dark inner feelings turned on the elder sister, and as punishment she was banished to the moon. Nopony ever asked for anything more, nopony ever cared about the details. But the story, the legend, as it's become, is so very vague. What truly happened, a thousand years ago, when the Moon refused to give way to the Sun?

We all have regrets: Memories of actions we wish to any deity that will listen that we could take back. But when you are the most powerful in the land, a living Goddess even, you have no choice but to confront every sin you have ever committed.

They told me it would get better...It never did. I miss you, Rainbow Dash.

We all have a breaking point. A point we reach where it hurts more to carry on as we are than it does to make the changes we need to make. But, in the darkest places, when everything we've worked for is at stake, how far past that point are we willing to walk? And when we reach that point, how different is fiction from reality?

The brightest of lights burns for the shortest time. But even though she's leaving this world, I know she'll be ready and waiting for me to arrive at the Goddess' Pearly Gates.

(Set in the Family Mares timeline, although made to read on it's own) We look up at the night sky, and we feel so insignificant. There's such a vast universe out there, and we're all stuck here. We gaze at the stars, stars that grace the night sky for untold millenia, and we are lucky to last for a century. We come into this world only to die. There's no stopping it, and there's no reversing the cycle. So what's the point? Why are we here?

Check out that new cover by Eagle Quill! Ain't it gorgeous?!

(The Final Chapter of the Scootaloo Dash trilogy) It's been seven years since Jade's death and Steel's placement in the home of the Dash family. Scootaloo and the rest of Iron Pony are living their lives exactly how they always dreamed. Scootaloo even managed not only to maintain her relationship with Lightning, but is now, after seven years of dating, finally engaged to him (took him long enough, don't you think?). As the band takes a break from touring and recording, Scootaloo begins to spend more time with her family back in Ponyville, particularly her brother, Steel. Unfortunately, Steel is unwilling to spend the time with his sister as he begins to question the circumstances of his adoption...

After an experiment goes wrong, Twilight, for all intents and purposes, should be dead. Miraculously, she survives without a scratch. But her mind is plagued with a depressing question-what if she had died? Would anypony miss her? Would anypony care? In this oneshot fiction, Twilight battles with this question and begins to wonder if her friends are as true as they seem.

Want to fill in the gap between "Houseguests" and "Wedding Bells" from Family Mares? Here it is. The story of the beginnings of the Dash family. Enjoy :)

And for all of you who didn't read Family Mares, you don't need to to before this. This is a prequel of sorts (It technically happens between the first two chapters) so anypony can read and hopefully enjoy it at their whim
