A dimension traveler sees many different sights, hears many different things, and endures more than the average life form could even think to bare. The dimensional wastelands are lively, yet barren; peaceful, yet horrendous; and friendly, yet threatening. A vast desert of utopias and dystopias lay themselves out around each other, waiting to be invaded or simply visited by a passing traveler. However, there are some dimensions that still have yet to understand that they are not, and never have been, alone.

When this certain dimensional jumper finds himself in a land of ponies, friendship, rainbows, and magic, he begins to question if his home is even in existence anymore. There is little in Equestria that he hasn’t dealt with before, but once he finds out that the certain dimension he found himself in has never been broken open, he realizes that there may be a little more work for him than usual.

After all: Once a dimension’s gate is released of its seal, nothing will stop the rest of the crowd from inviting themselves in.

All it takes is a small crack for the entire pane to shatter.

(Very loosely related to another of my stories: ‘Human’ in Equestria: Maverick and Hunter. It isn’t necessary to read it in order to understand this story in general, though there may be a few elements in it that are reflected here.)

An ancient promise shattered, a forgotten organization returned, and a threat held for centuries turned to actuality, a long ago established balance between Equestria and the forces held against it is broken. When a decision and a slip-up from the rulers of Equestria are deemed as final breaks of their word, the only option left for the princess of the sun and the princess of the moon are their carved in stone demises.

Knowing Their eyes are different and Their ways are the same as they have been since the beginning, Celestia and Luna are put on high alert as the end of their reign, and lives, are put on a timer. With The Elements of Harmony still lively and ready to stand for the princesses, six mares attempt to prevent the immanent. A race across Equestria's mysterious and dangerous borders begins as Twilight Sparkle and her friends try to stop the awakening of an ancient power. New forces will join The Spirits of Harmony along the way, some they would never have expected, and the struggling resistance against old foes will rise as Equestria is forced to defend itself.

But can Twilight and her friends save the princesses from those which were forged to rival The Elements of Harmony themselves?

Four years have passed since the incident in Canterlot with Queen Chrysalis. Equestria has almost forgotten about the changelings by now; the unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies moving on from the news and continuing with their time in Equestria. However, an infestation does not just disappear. Left for dead in the far outskirts of Equestria, Chrysalis roams the lands, searching for anything, anypony that has love to feed on. Her changeling army decimated and their bodies scattered throughout the world, the once queen of the changelings has nothing to live for. But when a pony out looking for an escape with his marefriend finds the lost changeling, something compels him to learn more about the creature. Seeing nothing wrong with the queen since she seems powerless, the stallion and his marefriend stay and talk with Chrysalis out of curiosity. Nothing bad can happen... right?

Contains action, adventure, changeling assimilation and creation, sacrifices, swearing (limited), foal-napping, OC ponies, ice cream, and cabbage. Note that Queen Chrysalis and the two ponies in the beginning are not the only ponies to show up.

Man still wages war on itself; fighting over beliefs, resources, and land. Genetic engineering and augmentation begins to shine as an option in combat, soldiers born from test tubes and some taken from their homes to become weapons for the military. A genetically altered and augmented super soldier, Maverick Blackburn, and a test tube born super soldier, Hunter McNamara are sent to execution for treason on trying to terminate the life of several high ranking officers of the military. However, an unexpected event happens during the execution, and the two soldiers find themselves waking up in a land of... friendship? But it would soon appear to be that they are not the only two to arrive when another soldier appears in Equestria, and his orders aren't to retrieve Hunter and Maverick.

Until, that is, winter takes over. With the weather patterns in Equestria mysteriously changing, winter becomes an endless freeze, preventing any sort of harvest on the ground. Night's control has been returned to Luna, but night has also become the main problem for the winter. The sun is needed to melt all the ice and snow, however, Luna refuses to discontinue the day and night cycle. The solution? Assassinate Princess Luna. A small team unknown to the princesses is put together to complete the mission, but do they have the heart to kill Celestia's only sister and second hand ruler of Equestria?
