After their failed attempt at taking Canterlot, the Changeling army ended up in the arid desert south of Appleloosa, a place known only as the "Badlands". In a highly criticised move, Princess Celestia decides to extend the hoof of friendship to their would-be invaders by reaching a truce. The one chosen for this perilous task of negotiation? The Mayor of Ponyville, once an esteemed prosecuting attorney.

When negotiations break down however, the Mayor finds herself fighting for her life, but as the old saying goes, "Politics makes for strange bedfellows."

Octavia is pointed in the direction of Carousel Boutique by a respected colleague. She intends to commision matching uniforms on behalf of her ensemble leader, the esteemed Frederic Horseshoepin. Octavia has misgivings however, when informed that the boutique in question is in Ponyville, a backwater farming town.

Can the proprietor of Carousel Boutique prove to the Canterlot mare that she has what it takes?

Trixie finds herself on the road, her carriage trundling slowly through a thick forest. As the sun begins to fall behind the horizon, Trixie decides to stop for the day, using the time to practice a new spell she has been planning.

Using the knowledge from a rare book, Trixie puts the finishing touches on a spell to create an illusion of herself. An illusion so powerful one could mistake it for the real thing...

It's game night and Twilight spends her time playing a game of Scrabble with the only other pony who will indulge her.

The Mayor loses a local election by a landslide. What has happened to make the ponies of Ponyville distrust her so much? Why is the new Mayor so well liked? The now ex-Mayor drowns her sorrows in the local Tavern and meets a friend who doesn't seem to care who she is or what she was, she just wants to have a good time.

When she wakes up the following morning however, she will find that things around Ponyville are far worse than she could have possibly imagined.

Twilight Sparkle receives a letter from Princess Celestia. As a reward for her and her friends diligence in sending friendship reports, they will be treated with a trip to Manehattan to see a show. On their way to the 'city that never sleeps', Twilight senses that something is going on behind the scenes, a lingering trace of familiar magic is in the air, one that she feels is connected to everything. One thing is for sure. This isn't a simple vacation.

One-Shot: The annual 'Most Delicious Dessert Competition' has arrived and this time it's being held in Ponyville. Granny Smith has decided to step down and allow Applejack to take her place as the representative of Sweet Apple Acres. In her first ever competition, will she be able to prove that she's got the apples to win?

One Shot: The Great and Powerful Trixie finds herself in the Canterlot Arcane Market when a mysterious merchant offers her a chance to seize the power she's always wanted. In her haste, she accepts and casts a spell to make every pony in Equestria love her.

She should, however, be careful what she wishes for.

When Octavia is dragged to one of Canterlot's more respectable nightclubs by some work friends, she finds a whole new world of music that threatens to shatter her pre-existing theories about musical quality. All it takes is one pony, a DJ whose music transcends the barriers of conventional genre classification. Will Octavia take the leap of faith into the unknown world of modern music? And will the mysterious DJ be there to catch her if she falls?
