Among the influx of students she teachers in the city's library is Marina, a wide-eyed, naive filly who is infinitely curious. Soon enough, Twilight finds herself relating a personal story to Marina, who is having problems of her own.

All Marina wants is to forget the problem and let it slip away, but Twilight tries to prevent that from happening. She counsels Marina on the nature of the problem...and it's one she had plenty of experience with.

For years I have stood on this hill, ever since I was a little child.  We grew up together, we lived together.  She gave me the one thing I could only dream for, a purpose.

Don't bother checking the character list either. I won't spoil the identities there. Maybe when all the chapters are done and online. Maybe.

We all have secrets.  For some it's nothing more than having an extra scoop of ice cream after dinner, for other's it's something much more morbid and disturbing.  Those who pursue the truth, be warned, sometimes the darkest secrets of certain ponies are best left hidden in the shadows of their silence.

Rainbow Dash finally did it! A sonic rainboom on command! Except she also managed to break every window in Applejack's farmhouse in the process. Now she has to pay for each one, and with her wages from managing the weather not nearly enough to cover the damage, she has to work on Applejack's farm for two whole weeks!

Talk about cruel and unusual punishment. Still, maybe it wouldn't be all bad. At least she would get to hang out with her friend AJ right? Wrong.
