When a Necromancer is hurled into the place between places then escapes to another world at the cost of his life it is not the end. Being a Necromancer he returns to life with ease, but is skirting the edges of consciousness, and unable to truly wake as a  mysterious figure uses magic to put him on the back of a horse to carry him away into the night.

To make matters worse the phylactery he used to save his own life recreated him as a member of the dominant race with... some errors. His injuries are still present and he's now in a much smaller body with his magic drained to nothingness.

So now he's horribly injured, held captive by an unknown force, in an unfamiliar body, in an unfamiliar world and completely exhausted. He's had worse days. He just can't think of any off the top of his head. So familiar territory then, nothing to worry about.

Each night I’m trapped in the dark, immobilized. I hear whispers as they operate on me: they say I shouldn’t be alive. Twilight refuses to tell me about the operation. Sometimes she can’t look me in the eye. What did they do to me?

Nothing used to scare me: I kicked a dragon in the nose, defeated gods of chaos and hatred, and control the weather. Now I feel broken. My memories have shattered, I feel wrong, and I’m afraid to tell anypony how scared I am.

I can’t even do the rainboom anymore. Who am I? I’m no longer the best flyer in Equestria, yet everypony assures me I am. Why won’t they tell me the truth?

Humanity’s greatest has fallen. 23 Billion humans died in the war, and only more would follow. The few strays on Reach were quickly found and slaughtered. The last soldier died fighting, a fitting tribute to the planet humanity fought so hard to protect. Still, the story is not over for mankind, just as the story is not over for this lone soldier. This story is a sequel to Better Living Through Science and Ponies, the influential Portal crossover written by the very talented Pen Stroke. If you have not yet read Better Living Through Science and Ponies, please read it first (including the Reader’s Cut chapter).

After saving Equestria from GLaDOS' evil, Chell is finally able to live the life she never had... until GLaDOS sets in motion her plan to rebuild Aperture Science. It's only a matter of time before the experiments begin again, and only Chell will be able to stop her.

When the Juggernaut makes it outside, he is confronted with something that will shake his very foundations of life.

Written for a friend that has supported me since the beginning.

Being an HIE is any Brony's (or Pegasister in my case) dream! Including mine... at least, it would be under better circumstances.  After being in a car crash I wake up, still messed up from the crash mind you, as a species native to Equestria. Cool right?  Maybe cool if I got to be a pony, or gryphon... hell, a HUMAN would be better than a draconequus!

In a final, desperate attempt to save their race, they create new strain of changeling using the essence of Twilight Sparkle, later naming him Dusk, hoping he will be able to rebuild their species. With Equestria now headed toward an ultimatum with its old foe, Twilight is forced to come face to face with her inverse self and the reality that not everything can stay perfect forever.
