Twilight Sparkle wakes up one morning to a harsh dose of unreality.  She is stranded, without her friends, on an island which matches no known locale on Equestria.   Surrounded and harried on all sides by the alien and the dangerous, she will find her mettle sorely tested, and find perhaps that the best friends you will ever have in your life are the ones you make when your back is to the wall...

As her twenty-first birthday dawns, Twilight Sparkle finds her simple life turned upside down. While her birthright forces itself into her life, Twilight also has to deal with the arrival of three Alicorns. No pony knows where they came from or what they want, and the Alicorns seem intent on keeping themselves and their purposes hidden. To uncover the truth, Twilight will set sail for distant, ancient lands with old and new friends.

That's right, the Joker, otherwise known as the Clown Prince of Crime, the Harlequin of Hate, and the White Duke of Death, is now in Equestria. Will this unpredictable, murderous psychopath learn the true magic of friendship and abandon his old malicious ways? Or will his arrival kick off an unstoppable crime spree to shape Equestria into his own image? Like I said, the Joker is unpredictable.

Wrote this because there's not enough DC pony fics. Dark because it's the Joker, Comedy because it wouldn't be a Joker fic without some laughs, and Random because I have no idea where this story is headed. That's up to the Joker to decide.

One night a human mage decides to travel into the void in search for something that has long been forbidden to him, but instead of answers he finds a purple unicorn in need of help to find her way home. However the universe has a sense of humor, and doubly so when a dark trickster god gets into the game. And so he finds himself forced into a world that is not his own, and a destiny he has little interest in fulfilling. And through all the trials he will have to face there is one question that will haunt his path, and finding the answer may be the only thing that can save him from something locked deep inside a dark corner of his mind.

What does it mean to be a trickster?

It has been several months since the disappearance of Twilight Sparkle..

One night, after watching her sister raise the Moon and set the heavens alight, Princess Celestia begins to bed down for the night, only to be interrupted by portal forming in her room.  From out of the portal comes none other than Twilight Sparkle, garbed in strange armor.

Princess Celestia, along with Luna, Cadence, and Shining Armor, are overjoyed by the Element of Magic's return, but are justifiably curious as to where she had been and what she had been doing.  And so, Twilight begins her tale.  A tale of survival against impossible odds.  A tale of a people fighting for the most basic right of all sentient beings.  The right to exist.

It is the year 2038, and the Earth is slowly being consumed by a space-borne monstrosity dubbed the Black Tide, which is using nanotechnology to remake the planet into something hideously alien.

Erin Olsen works for Project Harmonics, humanity's last-ditch effort to find a new world before the Tide can wipe them out. But when that world is found, and it turns out to be occupied, Erin will need to find the courage to face the unknown in order to save the inhabitants of both worlds.
