It's been inching towards one whole year since Twilight Sparkle made her first foray into an entirely different universe inhabited by an entirely alien race... and inching towards one whole year since she'd started her relationship with a member of said alien race she'd befriended during her travels. She and the human being known as Ty had been together long enough that they'd been able to see beyond the basic differences between them and their respective worlds and cultures in the name of their affections for one another, all the while mulling over how to reveal the true, unorthodox nature of their courtship to the public.

However, when a sudden issue arises within Twilight concerning her biology; an issue neither of the two had done more than touch on, she contemplates how to inform her special someone without alarming him. Unfortunately, a foreign threat comes to Equestria with malevolent plans (with perfectly wrong timing), forcing the two and the others into action...

They say that love knows no boundaries. This is the story of a pony in love. In love with a creature that, to most of ponykind, is nothing but a frightening, dangerous, deceptive, emotion-eating parasite. A creature that consumes love, and never returns it.

But what ponies say and what the truth is can be very different things. One pony makes the fateful decision to ignore the voices of society and family, and listen to the voice within...

Braeburn's visit to see his relatives in Ponyville doesn't go quite as he expected.  After discovering that he doesn't have a Special Somepony, Applejack resolves to fix this problem - by having Braeburn try to date each of her friends, in hopes things will click between one of them and her cousin.

Unfortunately, the road to Tartarus is paved with good intentions, and the poor stallion finds himself being roped into one disaster after another.  Bear attacks, wearing a fancy suit, and a near death experience are just a few of the challenges he soon finds himself facing.  Will Braeburn succeed in finding a Special Somepony to call his own?  Or will Applejack's attempts to help her cousin only make things worse for him?  The answer may surprise everypony.

In the middle of the night, Princess Cadence and her husband are woken by the news that a Changeling drone has been captured.  The creature is alone and unaggressive, showing no wish to attack or change shape.  Its fate is decided without much difficulty--as an obvious reject of the Swarm and a threat to Cadence's people, it must be destroyed.

But this is no ordinary drone.  It can speak, and appears to be separate from the hive mind of the Swarm.  It claims to have been sent as an ambassador--Chrysalis, queen of the Changelings, wants to forge an alliance with Cadence's kingdom.

But why now?  Why send this strangely intelligent drone?  And how will Cadence's people react to learning that their rulers are harboring a Changeling?

WARNING: Contains an OC, much headcanon speculation, and possibly violence/gore further in.

Ditto, a changeling from the attack on Canterlot, is flung far from her home and lands in Ponyville. She crashes into Twilight's library, and finds it a nice place to stay, quiet, abandoned, and peaceful. Until, of course,Twilight returns from Canterlot and finds her.

How will Ditto survive? She is lost, hungry, and far from her swarm.

Will the ponies find it in their hearts to help this poor, injured creature?

(Special thanks to Teapartycannon, who's story, Smoke and Mirrors, inspired me.)

Note: This story is no longer under revision, but there will still be a few spellchecks and such :)

Welcome to Trotondo, where the lakes freeze overnight and the snow never stops falling.

Welcome to the outermost Equestrian colony, where the foreign threat is so marginally low that only two royal pegasi guards were needed to keep it safe.

Welcome to the town protected by Dawn Guard and Dust Mote, two peacekeepers so hopelessly in love that they don't even know it.

... Thankfully, the other four hundred and thirty eight denizens of Trotondo are more than willing to help resolve this predicament.

Roseluck hasn't had much luck finding even a single changeling to romance.

The Detector had blown up on itself on its first test run.

The Bipedal-Changeling-Tracker-Bot kept trying to smash down her neighbor's door.

The Change-Fume had the unfortunate side effect of having a quarter of Ponyville write horrible love poems to her.

And, of course, one couldn't simply forget the Occulus.

But now, the Changeling-Finder is armed with Truth Dust and the resolve to succeed - Changelings, beware: when she gets her hooves on you, the hugs will never cease.

    Changeling's aren't nice. Changeling's don't bake. Changeling's don't get cutie marks.

This is how little Mandible earned a cutie mark to call his own.

It's been a year since the changeling invasion of Canterlot, where Twilight Sparkle discovered Fluttershy's true nature.  Since then, the shy pegasus has been more isolated than usual, scared of what may happen if anypony else were to find out what she truly was: a changeling raised by ponies since she was a foal.

After much poking and prodding from Twilight, she decides that she'll tell the other element of harmony bearers all at once.  When her friends all arrive, and Fluttershy reveals her true form, the two find themselves under attack by their friends.  Fluttershy and Twilight escape at the last moment, not entirely sure what just happened, and find themselves in a forest that neither pony recognizes, with no way of getting home that they can see.

They are totally alone.  And totally lost.

Direct Sequel to Right.  I'm not sure how well this reads on its own.
