This is the unofficial guide to failing at fan-fiction in the My little Pony Universe. With guidelines on how to write out your very own fan-fiction and with hints on how to boost your name to the top of the list of all those people who said you wouldn't amount to anything in this drab ,dying society. This is your reference in a sea of stories!

This was something I wrote as a spur-of-the-moment idea. Nothing in this "guide" should be taken seriously, and I just wanted to give someone a good laugh. This pokes fun at nearly every story type out there, so please don't be insulted if I say something that relates to a work of yours.

A human named Taylor finds himself in Equestria after a certain unicorn's research takes her well beyond the limits of typical magic. Resourceful as he is, adjusting to life in Ponyville should be easy, but when a dangerous secret society dating back to the days before Celestia makes him their target, things quickly get out of hand.

A semi-dark HiE adventure, sprinkled with comedy.

Based on the lazy Hasbro recolour of Twilight Sparkle. One dark and stormy night, Twilight Sparkle is visited by a strange pony. But this pony knows a lot about Twilight Sparkle; in fact, she might just be Twilight's number one fan. And that couldn't be a bad thing, right?

Are pegasus wings really fragile? Do unicorn spells really fail catastrophically? And just how explosive is chocolate milk, anyways? Join Applejack, Rainbow Dash and the rest of the MLP crew as they not only tell the myths, but put them to the test!

This could be Lyra's big break: she's the warmup musician for the first annual Running of the Leaves autumn concert!  The audience will be huge, and if the musician does well, she could be on her way to bigger and better things!  But it's going to be hard to prepare in the few days she has left, so Lyra really needs to work hard to be ready.

Unfortunately for Lyra, her mind doesn't seem to be at home right now.  Instead, her body is being controlled by a very surprised MLP:FIM fan named Lyle Hartman.  He doesn't know the first thing about playing the lyre, but time stops for nopony and the show must go on.  So all Lyle has to do is figure out a way to get back to his proper world (and hopefully bring Lyra's mind back to wherever it went) before the unicorn is expected to perform on stage.  Easy, right?

...Now if only Lyle could get somepony to believe him.
