A race of gigantic monstrosities called Angels have attacked the Earth. Bullets, missiles, artillery, bombs, and even nukes have no effect on them, they are protected by near impenetrable AT fields. The only weapon that humanity can use against them are the Evangelions, huge bio-mechs with powers that are unknown even to those that pilot them. It is a war that has raged for fifteen years in secret. And one pilot, 14 year old Shinji Ikari, is about to unintentionally bring that war to Equestria.
"If I have to taste that kind of suffering, then it's better just not to have friends from the start."
— Shinji Ikari
"I've learned that friendship isn't always easy. But I believe without a doubt that it's worth fighting for."
— Twilight Sparkle
Shinji thought his life couldn't get any worse. Getting beat up at school, being alone all his life with no one to call a friend, and saving the world without any acknowledgment or appreciation were just a few of the things that made Shinji regret coming to Tokyo-3. A lavender unicorn with a tiara falling on him while he was taking a bath didn't exactly help his ego either.
If you haven't watched Evangelion before, I suggest that you don't. It keeps the story as a new experience like I intended of it. Currently rebuilding, probably a better idea to check this out later when the next chapter pops up.
P.S. First story. Yay.

Commander Shepard remembers firing the crucible. She remembers she had to make an important choice. She remembers good friends, a lover, and plenty of loyal crewmen.
She just can't remember what her choice was. What the threat she was striving so hard to end was. Or what the faces of the most important people in her life look like.
She also has no idea how she wound up in the monster filled forest she's come to call home for the past eight months. Or how she picked up a snarky A.I. making its home in her omni-tool.
Twilight Sparkle has never seen the need to venture into the realms of Humanity, but when Pinkie Pie receives six invitations the grand opening of her sister's fine dining restaurant in Singapore, she swallows her apprehension and takes the plunge into the wondrous magical void that is the human's domain. A world of steel, glass and machines that defy the very laws of magic.
Yet, even for such a foreign land, the troubles of home are deceptively close.
Darth Vader is one of the most despicable forces in the galaxy. Once a powerful and respected Jedi Knight, he betrayed the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order for the dark side of the Force. The newly christened Sith Lord was apprenticed to Darth Sidious and quickly became a master of the dark side. Vader was soon the scourge of the Jedi, continuing the Great Jedi Purge by slaughtering all remaining Jedi.
An extension of Emperor Palpatine's will, the Dark Lord was constantly on the move, traveling throughout the galaxy to defeat rebel uprisings and kill any surviving Jedi. This mission brings him to the edge of the Outer Rim into the Unknown Region of the galaxy, in an unknown star system. High above an unnamed planet he duels with one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy in a starship battle. But during the battle his ship is damaged, and he crash-lands on the mysterious planet.
With his connections to the Galactic Empire severed, Vader must find a way out the land known as Equestria, inhabited by the strange creatures known as ponies. That, or he could take it over.

It's late, in fact it's so late it's early. The clock in the room reads well past one in the morning. There's also a storm hammering against this girl's home, trying to lull her to sleep. Stubbornly, she remains awake, drawing, surfing the internet, and basically procrastinating another night away.
So, what is it that makes this night any different from another one that she has lived through? What strange occurrence occurs that makes it stand out? That changes her life forever? That changes the course of- Oh you get the idea.

Vaati the Wind Mage has grown bored with the whole villain thing. He's trapped himself in a cycle doomed to repeat itself forever. Seeking a way to escape this miserable cycle of escape, kidnapping, and defeat, the legendary sorcerer inadvertantly teleports himself to another world entirely; a world populated by talking magical ponies who believe friendship is magic. AUTHOR NOTE: This story takes place in an episodic format. That is, it follows the style of the show in that every chapter is an 'episode', hence why they will all be lengthy. Some episodes will be canon ones with Vaati along for the ride, and others will be original where Vaati takes center-stage. The first episode takes place shortly after 'Griffon the Brush-Off'. Vaati is from Legend of Zelda and is property of Nintendo. You already know who owns FiM.
Parallel worlds, when close enough, tend to leak into one another. What is only fiction in one world may be a whole universe in another. In the land of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle seeks out a fairy tale hero. In the land of Cleveland, Ethan seeks out comforting monotony.
Twilight finds her hero, though he's not what she expected.
Ethan finds himself living with Twilight.
