It had been one year since Twilight Sparkle vanished in the battle against the evil unicorn Xander. Her friends were still trying to overcome the grief of losing her. On the anniversary of her presumed death, her friends gather at her memorial. What was suppose to be a day of remembrance was shattered by a strange metal object that landed right beside them. Their anger quickly turns to shock as a familiar unicorn emerges... and boy does she have a story to tell.

This is not a Halo fic. It IS however loosely inspired by Halo as well as Star Wars, Mass Effect and several other sci-fi movies, books, and games.

Twilight and Princess Celestia are in love. That's great... isn't it? But as they begin to tell their friends and family, how do they reconcile their relationship with the vast gulf in their experiences and the distance that an immortal alicorn princess must keep between herself and her subjects? And a secret society of masked ponies with their eye on Celestia's throne are looking to make the whole question irrelevant.

The Changelings have been defeated and Shining Armor and Princess Cadence have said their vows, but that still leaves the Mane Six and others with the issue of the strain on their friendships. And among all the guests present at the reception, a few of them are going to be suprised with what new relationships are formed.

Equestria has made the discovery of the century. They found what they believed to be the last of the mythical race of the humans trapped inside of a large crystal. Curiosity takes hold and with the help of Twilight Sparkle and the elements of harmony they decide to set it free. But was that a wise decision?
