A pony shows up on Earth as a human, and some person finds and takes care of the former-pony. You know the whole story. My life was normal until some girl drops into my life, claiming she's from Equestria. At this point, you're probably wondering which pony I met. Let me stop you there. Instead of some girl saying she's a pony, I get a girl who literally acts like a dog. Now I have to take care of her until she finds a way home. Little did I know, this girl would change my quiet life.

Spike wakes up on the side of an unfamiliar road, with only a confusing memory of the night before and a very unspecific note in his hand. Following the road, he finds himself in the town of Dragonsville, a rural town in the direct center of the country of Serpentia, land of love, tolerance, and harmony. Upon entering the town, he comes face-to-face with the most confusing group of dragons he's ever met: Pinkie Pie, the baker; Rainbow Dash, the stunt flyer; Applejack, the farmer; Rarity, the designer; Fluttershy, the animal enthusiast; Twilight Sparkle, the librarian; and Spike, the #1 assistant, who also happens to be a unicorn, a species most rare in this land.

And so begins the most incredible two weeks of Spike's life...

Rarity's search for the captured Rainbow Dash has brought her to the ancient grave-city of Jannah. With a weary but willing heart, she must find a way through the city's many perils to reach the mare she loves. But Jannah is abandoned for a reason. Nameless horrors stalk it's streets at night, and the city itself is infested by the Noise, a chaotic siren call that lures ponies to their death on the cobblestones. A mad Zebra shaman named D'Jalin and his mercenary band try to unlock the power of a strange artifact at the city's center, and Rainbow may be their key to bringing it to life. Celestia will not risk letting free the Evil which does not sleep, and her friends are far behind. Rarity has only her gun and her own fierce determination now, in the whitewashed tombs of Jannah.

Graves is gone, departed for parts unknown without so much as a backwards glance.  A quick farewell and a cold goodbye is all the marshal left before severing every tie he ever had to Ponyville, including those with Rarity.

Why? He's a soldier and it was obvious he'd one day have to leave. But the way he left, so abruptly, even callously... it just doesn't seem right. Could it be that there's something more to his departure than meets the eye? Or are thoughts like that merely fancy and wishful thinking? To find the truth, Rarity and the girls start down a long, winding road that will hopefully bring the grey eyed soldier back. Hopefully.

Matthew Williams, a citizen of New York City, leads a pretty good life, an alright job, a nice place. Sure, he has dreams and aspirations like the normal humans of the earth, but he was rather content at the moment. That all changes, when six ponies drop right on his head, and soon finds himself in a variety of situations that will spin his life in all different directions.
