A horrible Cataclysm has turned all of Equestria into a Wasteland of barren ash and twilight desolation. The Sun and the Moon have been destroyed. Everypony has died--including Princesses Luna and Celestia. But one pony miraculously survives; she is a lone wanderer, the last of her kind, surrounded by menacing creatures that hate her. She navigates the Wastes in an airship and scavenges off the blighted landscape to keep herself alive.

Then one day she meets an old companion who grants her a gift, the chance to go back in time to the warm and sunny days of Ponyville, where her dead friends live in happiness. How far will the last pony venture into this joyous age of Equestria, even if she fully knows that there is no way to change the horrible fate of everypony she loves?

Who is Scootaloo? Everypony knows about her present, but when it comes to her past there are as many different answers as there are questions.

Is she the love child of two star-crossed lovers? The last hope for the future? The child of a broken home? A mysterious figure fighting a war no pony knows about? Or is it something else entirely? Is she even a pony at all?

Nightmare Moon visits Twilight in the night, and things get biblical.

After a brief spat with Spike over a seemingly trivial matter Twilight decides that in order to learn more about dragons she should try to become one. With a simple spell she transforms her little pony self into a larger dragon and quickly realizes that she has no way to change back available to her....

When a mishap occurs with Celestia's bathroom scale, an ancient protocol that may just doom Equestria is set into motion.  With the entire palace staff now conspiring against her, the sun goddess must not only contend mountains of paper work, dancing celery sticks, and steroid pumped stallions, but a sister who will take this chance to torture Celestia any way she can as payback for her banishment. After a lot of good and careful planning, Equestria's greatest invention is ready to go: Fast Aerial Transportation of Pony Lot and Neighboring Equines, or FAT PLaNE, a wonderful aircraft which is commodious and light at the same time. Surely, this splendid innovation by Equestria's never-failing two expert inventors will revolutionize aviation more than anything else. The Mane-Event, a popular stage show in Manehattan, has acquired a rare creature they intend to use as part of a new act. Their typical animal handlers prove inadequate for the new job so they invite Equestria's best to be the caretaker-- Fluttershy. Moving to a new city requires the inconvenience of finding a new place to stay, however. What fortune that Trixie, one of the primary acts of the Mane-Event, just so happens to have free space at her apartment.

And then the Element of Kindness lived with the Element of Egotism.

This is the story of the end. This is the story of the death of Equestria. It is the story of the reign of her royal majesty, Princess Twilight Sparkle of the Fading Sun.

The alicorn sisters are dead and Equestria has turned to Twilight Sparkle to guide it. However, just maintaining a dim sun a fraction as bright as her mentor's keeps the new princess near her limits.

Years have passed and Twilight Sparkle is sure of only one thing. Equestria is dying.

When Ditzy Doo gets in trouble with the authorities, she is taken to the royal courthouse at Canterlot. There, she befriends Princess Luna, one of the two great Monarchs of Equestria. But there is a reason that Ditzy Doo originally did not have many friends when she met Luna, because even though she has a kind heart, she can cause enough chaos to put Discord to shame.
