Monster attacks. Crime. Illegal hallucinogens made from electric fruit.

They say things didn't use to be like this. They say things were different, before Luna came back 60 years ago, but Detective Hard "Hardy" Boiled of the Detrot Police Department has never known any world other than that demarcated by the seedy streets of his beloved decaying metropolis; a world in which the coroners sing and dance, surveillance bugs have personality disorders, and the Chief of Police is a scarier entity than most of the eldritch things the city attracts.

The grey unicorn who turned up dead outside the posh High Step Hotel seemed like just another case, but her missing horn is the pointy tip of a very large and nasty iceberg. It's up to Hardy and his friends - a rejected monster hunter, a psychic cab driver, and an underground antiques heir - to find out what’s going on in an investigation that promises to turn Detrot upside-down and inside-out.

Especially if Hardy has anything to say about it.

''The Equestria you knew and loved is gone''--This tired old phrase needs no reintroduction. Set in the same world as FoE written by Kkat, this story explores another tale that ended in sadness and left so many unanswered questions. When second chances are almost unheard of, one soldier that paid the ultimate sacrifice will find himself in a world that moved on without him, seeking an end to his story with absolution. Oaths are sacred and promises must be kept--Even if they don't matter to anyone else but the dead. Also, friendship.

I do not own FoE and I am writing this without permission. Kkat is a great author and I was inspired to write my own story based off her work on FoE.

I also do not own Fallout and am doing this as a work of fiction for no revenue whatsoever.

    Fallout © Bethesda

    Project Horizons © Somber

    MLP © Hasbro

    DHX © Themselves...I guess.

Longwalk is a colt ignorant of the world outside his tribe's isolated valley. He's never heard a gunshot in his life and wouldn't know a radscorpion from a radgator. And what does 'rad' even mean anyway? But he's about to get a crash course in Wasteland Survival 101 when an unusual discovery leads to a dangerous sojourn into the vast wastes beyond his humble home. Ignorant or not Longwalk is going to have to learn fast if he wants to survive mutated monsters, heartless mercenaries, perilous ancient ruins, overly dramatic villains, long winded plot exposition, politics, and perhaps most dangerous of all, the friends he makes along the way.

Based on the Fallout Equestria universe created by Kkat and the Wild Arms game series by Media Vision.

Somewhere, a puzzle piece is searching for its picture.

It doesn't know how it became lost—maybe the wind led it astray, maybe life swept it underneath the carpet. But none of that matters. Without the bigger picture, the puzzle piece will never be complete. It must return to its home.

As it searches, the puzzle piece stops to wonder. "Is the rest of the puzzle searching for me? Will it be happy to see me? Does the red streak across my tail complete a lover's happy heart, or does it stain a charnel mound?"

But the puzzle piece doesn't have time to seek answers. The picture does not matter. Completing the picture—be it happy, tender, fulfilling, or otherwise—will complete the puzzle piece. Once it finds its place, nothing else will matter.

    Meet Pipsqueak.

Pipsqueak, or "Pip" as he prefers to be called, has quite the imagination. There are times when he is a fearsome pirate, scourge of the seas of Equestria. There have also been times when Pipsqueak has fantasized about being a gallant prince, traveling the land, saving fair maidens, slaying wicked beasts, and being hailed as a hero by his peers. Not once did he ever imagine he'd get exactly what he wished for in the form of Princess Luna adopting him, making him an actual prince! Soon enough, Pip learns that being a prince isn't as glamorous as he thought it to be, and that there are more than a few downsides to being a part of the royal family. One in particular downside coming in the form of a nuisance named Blueblood.

On the other side of the coin, Princess Luna must adjust to her newly-found position of motherhood, balancing the task of providing her adopted foal as normal a life as possible for a young prince, while also making sure the nobility and paparazzi keep their hooves out of their business. Fortunately, this mare not only has the entirety of the Royal Guard, including her own Night Guard at her disposal, but her sister and niece also happen to be fiercely protective of the newest member of their family.
