When Twilight Sparkle is crowned the sole Princess of Equestria as the final step in her studies and the final step in symbolically unifying Day and Night, the Griffon Nation decides to take advantage of this once-in-a-millennium political transition to launch a full-scale invasion of Equestria's eastern coastline. Once the invasion is repelled after a few bloody weeks of fighting, Twilight faces pressure to launch a counter-invasion of the Griffon Nation, which she reluctantly agrees to do, along with enacting controversial wartime measures

Within months, these measures begin to take their toll on the Equestrian population, who begin to demonstrate against the measures and, by extension, against the Griffon War more generally. Initially ignored, these demonstrations become larger and more widespread, creating a major problem for Twilight, her generals, and the Equestrian war effort, and threatening to completely upend the social and political order by which Equestria operates.

You think you know me so well, don’t you? I’m a spirit of chaos, and nothing else. You don’t even know the half of it! Sit back and indulge me for a little; I’ll make you understand what it truly means to be chaos itself.

Should you form attachments to mortals if you yourself will never die?

Losing the last of her friends in a battle that should never have been fought, Twilight Sparkle's world falls apart, until meaning and purpose come back into her life in the most wonderful way imaginable. But she forgets, again, that every living creature must eventually die...

Sequel to Not My Destiny, which you can read here. PG-13 for some mild psychological horror and plot-relevant, non-gratuitous injuries. I'll try to keep to the same chapter-a-day release schedule as I did back over New Year's.

Lemon Dreams is a happy pony with a perfect life in Ponyville. There's only one problem - she thinks she's a lemon.

Is she really a  pony-shaped citrus fruit, or is she just crazy? Does it even matter? When Lemon Dreams finds herself at odds with the ponies of Ponyville and pursued by a strangely familiar ghost, she realises she must discover the answers to those questions before it's too late.

When Rarity is visited by Twilight Sparkle, it soon becomes clear that her friend's embarrassing little problem amounts to more than just a few bad dreams. As the investigation turns sour, Rarity's frustrations boil over, but her inner pain is obscured by unfolding events. In a chance meeting with Luna, the two ponies connect in a way that neither can understand. Can a princess and a unicorn, both mired in suffering, find the strength to heal each other while an ancient problem rises to threaten all of Equestria?

Second Edition is an in-progress rewrite of the original to correct serious technical flaws. The old version is still available here on GoogleDocs, and the new one here if you prefer that format.

When Rainbow Dash started reading, she realized just how much she had missed. Entire books with the promises of possibilities, opportunities, and adventures. The Daring Do series always remained foremost in her mind, but she planned to broaden her horizons, so to speak.

However, it was particularly important that her new hobby remain a secret, as there are plenty of ponies in Ponyville that would be glad to find out that the awesome Rainbow Dash is a bookworm... or at the very least, happy she's taking interest in other hobbies...

Ponies playing basketball? In a professional league? On Draft Day Slam Dunk sees his dreams being crushed right in front of him, and he ends up saddled on the laughingstock of the league–The Los Andaluses Kickers. Gritting his teeth against a perceived injustice, he will try to do everything he can to show Equestria he doesn't belong on a team that dwells in the basement year after year. To the average pony, Equestria is an idyllic country, a place of peace and serenity. Not all is as it seems, however. Beneath the surface, dark secrets run rampant — secrets that are forcibly kept out of the public eye, secrets that divided the nation over a thousand years ago, and secrets that were never meant to see the light of day.

Sometimes, it's best to leave things in the dark.

Rated Teen for language and mild gore. Additional background info about the fic's universe may be found here.

When Fluttershy received her certification as a fog specialist, she only wanted a plausible excuse to write off the expenses associated with her ground-based house on her taxes. However, when an accident in Cloudsdale sends a blanket of industrial-grade clouds rolling towards Ponyville, Fluttershy suddenly finds herself in charge of coordinating the response, mostly because she's the only fog specialist in the area. Can our heroine step up to the challenge at hoof, or will she risk facing the wrath of the Equestrian Revenue Service?
