Inspiration is Rarity's Element, and Sweetie Belle her greatest achievement. But the filly has questions, ones that Rarity might not be able to answer on her own. What makes a pony? How can somepony know if they really are alive? Are they alive if they laugh and cry? Are they alive if they think, if they make mistakes and have ideas?

If Sweetie Belle is nothing more than a collection of wires, is she truly alive?

Octavia is a high-class pony. Fine alcohol is her wont, and uncouthness her intense chagrin. Such is her surprise to find herself lumbered with an insufferable oaf of a DJ pony. However, sometimes these situations work themselves into a satisfactory ultimatum all the same.

While re-shelving books at the library, Twilight discovers a journal she gave to Spike years ago contains stories about the great dragon hero Captain Invincible, who fights for Truth, Justice, and the Equestrian Way, defending the city of Ponytopolis from the diabolical Dr. Spectra and other assorted dangers.

There's just two problems: Spike clearly wanted the stories to be kept private, and Twilight just can't stop reading them.

On the eve of Twilight's wedding, trouble is brewing. Fluttershy mourns the love she lost and contemplates the bitter dregs of hate. Two friends loved the same stallion and he chose one. As mysterious murders rock the city of Canterlot and an ancient evil returns to battles long abandoned, Twilight and Fluttershy will finally have that peculiar heart to heart that only rivals in love can have.

Unrequited passion is a dangerous force. In normal circumstances, a controllable one. When two mares who loved the same pony are left alone in the dark? Perhaps a lethal one.

The AppleDash project is a series of short fics attached to various episodes, detailing a relationship between Rainbow Dash and Applejack behind the scenes. The stories take place sometime during or shortly after the indicated episode.
