Twilight despises chocolate milk. She hates it. Defiles it. She throws it on the ground, and spits in its puddle of calcium goodness. Chocolate milk has haunted her since her childhood, and Twilight vows to never drink it at all. She can't stand it! However... somepony in the Ponyville community dares to bring this sweet treat before her, and the innocent peace offering doesn't end very well. This is the tragic event that takes place on a summer afternoon in Ponyville.

Princess Celestia, tired of the constant pressure that ruling a nation puts on her, decides to take a day off and let Luna take her responsibilities for a day, something the younger alicorn is more than happy to do. She disguises herself as a pink maned pegasus pony named Sunny Skies, and decides to go walking around Canterlot without any supervision. Unfortunately for her, not all parts of Canterlot are as safe as the palace, and she finds herself at the wrong end of a gang of muggers, who decide to kidnap her for a ransom when they see how much money she has on her.

This here is a short story that came to me as I sat in the shade of a Humvee, eating an MRE. It's a little funny and a little sad, and it is the tale of how a mare named Jade became the afterlife receptionist for Ponyville.

It's late, in fact it's so late it's early. The clock in the room reads well past one in the morning. There's also a storm hammering against this girl's home, trying to lull her to sleep. Stubbornly, she remains awake, drawing, surfing the internet, and basically procrastinating another night away.

So, what is it that makes this night any different from another one that she has lived through? What strange occurrence occurs that makes it stand out? That changes her life forever? That changes the course of- Oh you get the idea.

It still bothered her how she had gotten here, how it was even possible that she was walking side-by-side through some buried underground-structure, with her favourite fictional character become flesh. But as they resumed trotting deeper into the temple, Dash's thoughts kept going back to the event.

"No", Dash told herself, sternly. "That's - that's not it."

She almost would have compared the experience to her hyperactive, party-enthusiastic friend's "Pinkie Sense".

But she had seen something out of the corner of her eye. It had been... letters. Words. A sentence.

Something along the lines of "... the characteristic noise of a ... spikes closing in right behind ... Rainbow Dash slammed her body into ... ".

And then she had acted, before the trap was even visible. She had known what was going to happen, before it happened.

She ... she had read the next paragraph.

Equestria has been home to numerous popular television shows in the past; Hay's Anatomy, Doctor Whooves, Star Trot. All of these shows have had massive successes, and fandoms of varying size and reputation. However, there was one show in particular that sparked the hearts of millions of ponies, spawning an unlikely following of mares of all ages... a show primarily meant for little colts.
