Applejack was happy for Rarity, she really was. Moving to Canterlot to pursue a rather unique oppurtunity made sense... but it didn't help her feel any less homesick. As Rarity works on special dresses for the biggest fashion show of the season, Applejack dreams of where the fields are, where the summers are wet and the winters clear.

Happy is she who knows the causes of things--and as Rarity begins to understand the underlying problems with Applejack's discontent, perhaps she can find the right words to say.

North of Canterlot, in the far marches of the Equestrian lands near the border with the Griffon tribes, there is a mountain that flies.

It is not shaped like the mountains adhering to the rocky earth far below. It is not shaped like the easy geometric summits drawn in foal’s storybooks. It does not share their snow-capped peaks or bedrock roots. There are no veins of ore running through it like blood. It cannot be climbed.

But it is a mountain, nevertheless.

The idyllic, peaceful, self-governed world of Cloudsdale is interrupted by a rising state of crime. But it is something that they are horrendously unprepared for, with a waning wonderbolt presence and the lack of any true policing force whatsoever.

But when a lonely office worker's best friend gets mugged in the streets, he finally decides that enough is enough, and launches himself headfirst into the stupidest possible thing he could do - quitting his job, and waging war on the underworld.

All he has is his wits, a suitcase with personal effects, and years of experience in the accounting department of a large investment firm.

Yeah. This is gonna work out just fine.

Rarity is moving up in the world. Her noble House, the long gone House of Belle, has been restored by royal decree and given to her as a reward for services rendered to the crown. After many adventures, Rarity and Dash are heading to Canterlot for a life of leisure and gentility. But not all is well. Rainbow, injured in past adventures, harbors feelings that wait to be released. Bitterness grows in the dark places of the heart, and though she is happy for her spouse, Rainbow's dreams were stolen from her by misfortune. Nothing can change that. Rarity receives everthing... and Rainbow? Perhaps she receives nothing for her efforts, in the end. It'll depend.

Twilight receives another visit from Future Twilight Sparkle, who speaks only in questions. Present Twilight attempts to deduce the reason for her future counterpart's vagueness - and the reason for her visit.

Nopony would have bet that Rarity and Rainbow Dash would get together.  It seemed silly.  It seemed like too unlikely a pair (a rarity, if you will).

However, that's just the beauty of it.

The RariDash project is a series of short chapters attached to various episodes, detailing a relationship between Rainbow Dash and Rarity behind the scenes. The chapters take place sometime during or shortly after the indicated episode.

In a world much like we know, another family has the throne. Applejack, crowned Princess of Equestria, is having a really bad day, and it isn't helped when every single member of the Apple Family happens to be an Alicorn.

Pinkie decides that's boring and wants to help save Twilight from herself. Hilarity and awkward misunderstandings ensue as an unstoppable force meets an immovable object.

Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie find each other in the midst of a raging storm. Through the rain, wind, lightning, and whatever else a storm can throw at a pony, they just might find something new in the process.
