During a casual trip to Cloudsdale, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy meet an old friend from flight school, however the years have changed her, she's no longer the excitable, eccentric filly they once knew, but Surprise plans to change all that, and reclaim the life that was once destined for her.  

Do you sometimes find yourself lying awake at night wishing, praying even, that there was more TwiDash Scootadopt fics?  If so, then I am pleased to announce the Sparkle Dash Family series!

These are my writings for thirty minute pony stories that I've written with a TwiDash Scootadopt theme.  For the most part, they will all take part in the same continuity, unless otherwise noted.

In retaliation for the attack on Canterlot, Princess Celestia leads a crusade against the Changeling Horde. The Elements of Harmony fight bravely in the campaign, and are rewarded with landed titles in the newly-conquered Duchy of the Outer Lands.

Friendship is magic, but will it prevail against the cold, hard reasons of state?

Tagged as 'Alternate Universe' because of divergence following Season 2's ending. But if possible, I will try not to go too far off track. The story will probably have a more medieval atmosphere than canon.

Rated 'Teen' just in case.

While the story will contain all of the Main Six, interactions between Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Twilight will (if according to plan) drive most of the plot. Thus the tags.

Inspiration from the strategy game "Crusader Kings II", the novel, "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", and a metric ton of Chinese historical dramas.

Twilight is a Canterlot Orphan. Her parents mysteriously disappeared one day, and were announced dead in the line of duty for the Crown. Growing up as an Orphan has had its benefits, but now the young unicorn receives a surprise she had never expected: Princess Luna, the Immortal Ruler of Equestria, wants Twilight Sparkle as her personal protege. But not just any protege. Luna is grooming Twilight to become the next Valkyrie, an elite Mage who acts as Luna's right hoof. When Twilight discovers a long buried secret during her studies, the new Valkyrie is put to the test to find a way to prevent day from falling across Equestria-- Forever.

Princess Twilight Sparkle has a problem: she's possessed by a question. It came from a silly little book.

Now, after a week of poor sleep, Twilight relents. She HAS to answer this question, even if it kills her.

Ok, so it won't kill her, but Twilight is going to have to violate one of the biggest pony taboos in existence to do so. That's okay, it's for science!

Bitter about being kicked out of Wonderbolt Academy, Lightning Dust decides to travel abroad to give herself time to brood about her dreams slipping out from under her hooves. However, when visiting the land of Accithera, she meets a gryphon named Gilda in Australeo, and learns what Loyalty actually is.

Octavia Philharmonica would like nothing more than to practice her cello and to compose beautiful music all by herself. Unfortunately, her teacher Princess Cadance has other plans! Sent to Ponyville to assist with logistics for the Vernal Equinox Festival, Octavia wants only to get through the ceremony with as little interaction with the local populace as possible, but her plans are derailed by the return of two ancient evils. When the ancient tyrants Burning Sun and Nightmare Moon break free from their prisons and initiate a new era of war and devastation, Octavia finds herself and five other musicians -- Vinyl Scratch, Fluttershy, Lyra Heartstrings, Bluenote, and Medley -- caught up in a desperate race to find the Elements of Harmony and stop the alicorns. It will be a difficult journey, but it just might be possible, if Octavia can manage to befriend the other ponies... and if she can learn to truly listen to the music of Ponyville.

It never happened. The Sonic Rainboom was never performed by the daring little Rainbow Dash. Twilight never passed her exam, Rarity never saw the gems inside the rock, Applejack never came home, and Pinkie Pie never smiled. Not even once on that day. Pinkamena Diane Pie was a miserable little filly, who grew up to be a miserable mare with two crossed pickaxes as a cutie mark. Nobody ever cared or listened to her heartaches. Nobody was ever there for Pinkamena. The only thing that kept watch over her throughout her entire life was the hungry monster that pleaded to be fed.

The summer vacation is over and school is about to start again. But Sweetie Belle made a bad decision that proved to have unforeseen consequences. As her relationship with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo sours, she finds a new kind of relationship with another blank flank from school. And where is Derpy?!

Twilight Sparkle, Equestria's new princess, heroine with her friends and the embodiment of Magic. But she can't get a simple Daisy sandwich in Ponyville. Prince Blueblood finds out, and gets her to sail on the maiden voyage of his ship Aurora.

Misunderstanding ensues, and Twilight, Spike and friends find themselves all alone to get home.
