Luna knows everything about Twilight Sparkle, From her childhood up to everything she has done in the year since Twilight freed Luna, but why does she know these things?

On the other hand Twilight is going crazy turning against her friends as though something is eating at her and shes powerless to stop it.

One night, Twilight remembers her childhood, of the first time she heard the old mares tale of the mare in the moon. Princess Luna overhears her.

This is very short. It's nothing amazing, but from what people have told me, it's sweet.

She navigates the Wastes in an airship and scavenges off the blighted landscape to keep herself alive.

Then one day she meets an old companion who grants her a gift, the chance to go back in time to the warm and sunny days of Ponyville, where her dead friends live in happiness. How far will the last pony venture into this joyous age of Equestria, even if she fully knows that there is no way to change the horrible fate of everypony she loves?

A half-remembered dream leads Twilight Sparkle to test a new "window" spell by looking at an alternate Equestria.  What she sees there will lead her and her friend Princess Luna into adventures they had never imagined possible.  

I began writing this story in the gap between seasons 1 and 2.  I've updated some things to reflect canon changes in season 2, however at that point I decided that having to constantly go back and change things every time something new happened on the show just wasn't going to work, so the story ignores anything from season 3 onward.  

This is technically a sequel to "In the Eye of the Storm" as it's using the same versions of Twilight and Luna, but it is not actually a crossover with Valdemar, and I'm doing my best to make this story readable even if you haven't read the first story. :)

This story owes much of its quality to my husband JJ, who is a wonderful editor.

Not all ponies prefer the day to the night. Twilight and Luna are creatures of the night, and for ponies like them, love is best found under starlight.

Note: This fic is terrible and only kept for historical purposes. It is vapid and poorly written. It was the first fanfic I ever wrote, back on Valentine's Day of 2011. Humble beginnings and all that.

After an ancient spell from Twilight goes awry, Fluttershy finds herself in a new world of powerful creatures. Whilst Fluttershy struggles in the new found world, Twilight is forced to leave Equestria to find the spell to bring her back.
