One day, his only employee quits, and he's forced to hire a new one, starting a new awkward relationship with Lyra, who needs cash. What follows is a lighthearted fic with dark undertones that I hope you'll enjoy.

When he meets a certain blue Pegasus stallion buying pies at Sweet Apple Acres while he just so happens to be staying there, he discovers feelings he never knew he had.

Unfortunately, they happen to be the same ones he was always taught to suppress.

Can Soarin convince him that it's not wrong to be in love, and that, sometimes, in order to be happy, you need to break out of your comfort zone?

A story about discovering who you are, and being that person, no matter what others tell you to be.

WARNING: M/M, SoarinxBraeburn Coltcuddling! Touches up on some serious social issues in the real world, but with ponies, and at least 20% cooler.

Takes place after the events of Story of the Blanks if you lose. A few paragraphs at the beginning are a direct quote from the Story of the Blanks fanfic adaptation by Aoshi Stark, but the story quickly diverges from there.

Twilight Sparkle may be the smartest pony in all of Ponyville. She may be able to understand non-linear magical field gains but love eludes her. Can reason and the scientific method shed some light on this mysterious magic? Twilight is determined to try. Fluttershy loves to care for animals, going so far as to help other people care for theirs as well.  But during winter, when they're all snuggled up in their warrens and dens to hibernate, Fluttershy can hardly cope with the boredom.  Always one to try and better herself (in non-physical ways that is) the yellow pegasus begins spending time at Twilight's library, learning as much as she can on... softer subjects.  Finding that she had the capacity for far more love than just Animal care, and never expecting a certain lavender unicorn to occupy her thoughts.
