((The idea from this story was taken from chapter 12 of Gravitys Rainboom fantastic story: MIA.  I've talked with the author, and he allowed me to write this story, since I feel as though it will be somewhat similar.))

They say that Spartans never die; that they're only missing in action.  But can that really be true if you don't feel alive?  If the very purpose of your existence is suddenly taken from you?

Noble Six detonated the rigged slip-space drive on the Covenant corvette as Jorge-052 simply floated back down to Reach, gripping her dogtags tightly.

To Reach, Jorge, and the UNSC, Spartan-B312 is gone; whether it be KIA or MIA.

But to Equestria, Noble Six is anything but dead...

Ladies and Gentlemen, Fillies and Gentlecolts, I bring you the sequel to Adaptation. I don't know how well it'll go over, but you all seemed to want it, so I figured I'd give it a try.

In this volume, Echo has settled in to her life in Ponyville and has just begun to become accustomed to the strange ways in which ponies behave. While their social norms may be confounding to her, she is satisfied with her life. That is, until Scootaloo comes home from school one day shaken, and Echo finds that not everypony in Ponyville is as understanding and accepting of who she is as she thought they were. What has caused the normally kind ponies in this town to become so suddenly xenophobic?

On a dark night filled with even darker magics, an insane cult attempts to give Nightmare Moon a body and life of her own, utterly separate from Princess Luna. But, when the spell is interrupted by Celestia, something unexpected is created.

Now, a little black alicorn filly named Nyx finds herself living under the care of Twilight Sparkle, only to be haunted by memories and emotions from her past. Is she Nightmare Moon reborn or is she simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of her own? Can Twilight Sparkle protect Nyx from those who refuse to see past her dragon eyes and black coat?

Or, will Nyx be forced to inherit the sins that may not even be hers and become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known?

It happened. Twilight became an alicorn. Her mentor Celestia has never been prouder, her friends are amazed, her daughter Nyx is thrilled to death-- And both Twilight and the government are in a tizzy. By Equestrian law, she is effectively a princess. This is complicated by the fact that she's the adoptive mother of the former Nightmare Moon, and nopony is precisely thrilled at the notion of Nyx being within reach of the throne.  

It's further complicated by the fact that Twilight doesn't want to be a princess. She's a scientist! She's a researcher and a scholar of magic, not a ruler. If she takes her throne she'll have to give up the very things that put her on it in the first place--- her research, her beloved books, her home in Ponyville, her ties to her close friends, and if certain factions have their way, her daughter Nyx.

She's going to have to put up one hell of a fight to wrangle a compromise between the life that she wants... and the destiny that somepony else picked for her.

It's been ten years since Rainbow Dash's father disappeared in a wild, fierce thunderstorm. When the same strange storm hits Ponyville, Rainbow Dash does as much as she can to try and stop it from happening again.

But magic has a strange habit of making things reappear, opening old wounds that could change Rainbow Dash's life forever.

Applejack couldn't be happier with her life. She owns a great farm and has been married for three years to the love of her life, Rainbow Dash. It's everything she's ever wanted in life, but now she wants something more. A family. A foal. Can she convince Rainbow Dash that they are ready to take a new step in their lives or will a haunting secret from Dash's past prevent them from having one?

(I know a story called "Foal" already exists, but I had this idea for months and I couldn't come up with a different title)

Twilight has settled into the routine of being a mother, and Nyx has happily settled into the routine of being a (well, MOSTLY) normal little filly. But now they're closing in on one of the favorite holidays of the fall season, Nightmare Night--- which Nyx  has never heard of and knows absolutely nothing about....

Twilight has to help update the woefully out-of-date library system of the Crystal Empire. Fortunately this means she has an opportunity to introduce Nyx to the rest of her family, starting with Nyx's aunt and uncle. Nyx, of course, is thrilled to death. Until she finds out who her aunt and uncle are....

Willow is a thestral-- one of the bat-winged pegasi, rarely seen anywhere outside of Princess Luna's royal guard, and never quite welcome anywhere in Equestria. His parents have moved away from Canterlot to try and get a new start for all of them... but how well can a young batpony fit into a tiny, insular little community like Ponyville?
