This is my attempt at taking a more "quaint" turn in the ways of storytelling. Instead of cut-rate action and dark pasts and all that, these characters will be fairly normal, with a few minor and maybe a single major quirk to them. So don't expect much to keep you on the edge of your seat.

NOTE: One of the main characters has a bad stutter, and I tried my best to make it seem natural, and not come off as annoying. So try not to be too harsh about that.

For years, you have trained as a royal guard. Now, thanks to the fortuitous return of Shining Armour, your old-time friend and Captain, you are promoted to guarding Celestia personally. What follows, though, is the discovery of a personal side to the Sun Princess that you could never have imagined, not even in your most vivid dreams.

While most humans are brought to Equestria through near-death, death, or shenanigans, some are brought with a purpose.  Meet Zack, he’s young, capable, more or less polite, and our victim.  Princess Luna requires a moment’s peace, free from her sister’s pranks.  One night, Luna comes up with the perfect plan: playing matchmaker.  With her sister plotting, Celestia peacefully slumbers with dreams of mischief ripe in her head.  If only she knew just what her little sister was capable of…

This story is rated L (Luna) for infrequent strong language and shipping.

Comet takes his job too seriously. Angel doesn't take anything seriously.

Comet joined to protect kingdom and princess(es). Angel joined for adventure and danger.

Comet isn't interested in mares. Angel can't stop talking about stallions.

Comet is a pegasus. Angel is a bat pony.

Together, this unlikely duo goes through life as Royal Guards from basic training to fully fledged guardsponies. Who knows? Maybe they'll even start to get along.

Cloud Kicker might just have the wildest life of any pony in Equestria. Marvel at the insanity that is her life, and laugh at the suffering of her poor beleaguered best friend, Blossomforth.

This is a semi-sequel to "The Incredibly Dense Mind of Rainbow Dash." Not really a proper sequel, since it's focused on Cloud Kicker and Blossomforth instead of Rainbow and Pinkie, but it's in the same continuity. So I guess that makes it a follow-up-side-quel story. Or something. You don't need to have read "The Incredibly Dense Mind of Rainbow Dash" to read or enjoy this, but you ought to read it anyway, just because.

Also, Cloud Kicker and Blossomforth still need their own tags. They're too awesome to spend their lives stuck under the "other" tag.

It's just an average day for you at the lettuce stand when you are greeted by Ponyville's resident mail mare. Though this normally wouldn't be out of the ordinary, she seems to be sporting some...strange gear.

ANYWAY, this is my Derpy story! Inspired almost SOLELY by a picture I saw. I'll put it in the author's notes of the actual story, as to avoid spoilers here.

I started writing this about a week ago, just before Christmas. Once I started, I challenged myself to finish it before the year ended. And what do ya know, I did! Didn't publish it before then, but still...I felt accomplished.

When Twilight Sparkle decides to try a new spell she has perfected, she successfully pulls a being from another universe into Equestria. That being coincidentally is a human...that human coincidentally is you. What at first just seems like an opportunity for first contact between two species soon becomes something much more when certain truths are brought to light...and everything you knew about your life is flipped onto its head.

NOTE: At times in this story, the main character's thought process will be shown as an inner monologue with his brain. BRAIN's dialogue will appear in this color of text.

Henry was like any average person, content, happy, and always looking for the brighter side of things...
