When an unexpected heat wave scorches Appleloosa, Braeburn finds himself unable to save his family's apple orchard. That is, until he meets a certain pony whom he thought to be fictitious. The mare tells him of a treasure that is said to be buried in the town of Dodge Junction, and asks for his assistance in finding it. Will the tales of Cunning the Colt's treasure prove to be true, or were they simply folktale?

       Shining Armor couldn't be more proud of his little sister. Yet at the same time, he is sad.  Both Cadence and Twilight will live forever. But what will become of him?

      Shortly after the coronation, he confides his feeling to Cadence about his thoughts.  She tells Shining Armor of a legend about six artifacts that if collected, could grant a pony one wish.  For Shining Armor, he would like nothing more than to spend eternity with his loving wife and his adorable little sister.  Thought the journey is filled with peril, villains lurk around every corner, Shining is prepared to return an alicorn, or die a unicorn.

     This story has changed slightly from it's original publishing.  I recommend all who favorited to reread the the story to avoid confusion going forward. You will find that most of the key event's are the same.

Rainbow Dash just wanted to go home. The weather was grim, sure, but she had to get home. Staying at Twilight Sparkle's library wouldn't cut it for her. Besides, she was too busy sorting out things. However, things take a drastic turn for the worse when she finds that going through the weather was beyond what she wanted. Even worse, she's now stuck with someone who may either be the pinnacle of her death, or her last  and best  hope of survival...

Twilight isn't having a very good day. An experimental spell blew up in her face, an army of changelings is attacking Canterlot, and she just died. Yet somehow, it looks like it's going to keep going downhill from here.

Given the chance to correct what's gone wrong, Twilight swears she's going to fix all this even if it kills her. Which it will. Frequently.
