There was a question... and Spike wanted the answer.  The curiosity of it was gnawing at his little dragon brain like gerbils in a vat of candy corn.  In desperation, he turns to Cadence for help, and she's more than happy to assist.

After all, it's just a simple question.  What's the worst that could happen?

Sequel to The Darkness of Love.

Spike saved the Elements of Harmony, but a past mistake had caught up to him. He died a week later, leaving Twilight heartbroken, holding a crystal that contained half his soul from before he succumbed to dark magic.

Now, some months later, Twilight has spent her time searching for the key to bringing Spike back. With everything in place, and Cadence assisting her with Spike's resurrection, will everything go as planned, or will something falter and leave Spike half of or twice what he used to be?

Innocent Spike plays a dating simulator...starring the ponies of Equestria. Though as he delves further into the game, his attitude towards it begins to take a dramatic turn. Because for Spike it will no longer be just a game. It will become his new way of life.

As the years drew on, Spike's childish heart grew into that of a true adult, longing for the finer things in life; the finest things. He pursues his relationship with Rarity, but all does not go as planned.

Filled with anger and sorrow, Spike and Rarity fall away from one another. In his grief, Spike pursues new interests, and their friendship is in danger of never recovering.

But perhaps the truest words in life are these: you do not know what you had until you have lost it. Jealous and alone,  finding no comfort in stallions she once loved, can Rarity reclaim her one chance at true love, before it is too late?
