When I discovered the harp markings on my hip, it was just the lowest point in a day that was already at rock-bottom. How was I to know that they would be the first of many changes? Changes that were inexplicable and shocking in scope... and that threatened to strip my of not only my humanity, but my very identity.

Even though MLP:FiM ended a few years ago, my friends and I still loved the show. Stories, merch, fan art, I loved it all. Things started to get a weird though when I found myself with a cutie mark appearing on my leg. Humans aren't supposed to get cutie marks, so where the heck did this come from? And what's going on with my hair?

This was meant to be a short little quirky story, but as I soon found myself engrossed in writing a bigger and bigger story.  It was originally just written for the 'Pony transformation general' community on /mlp/. However, due to the positive feedback from friends, I then decided to post the story here on FimFiction so others could enjoy it.

It should also be noted that the story here has been slightly modified version from the original. The story you see here has been fully reedited and 'cleaned up' to fit the standards of a "Teen" rating here on FimFic. If you wish to up the ante and read the mature version of the story, you may do so on the Google Doc here. Feel free to switch between either story version whenever you like, as the main story line between the two versions is identical.

Fed up with having all her life's decisions being made for her, Octavia makes a big one of her own. As she works towards the future she wants, she encounters many more choices with answers not so simple.

Hopefully a more original take on the characterizations of these two wonderful background ponies.

She’s the loyalest of friends and most dependable of ponies; how could anypony not fall in love with Applejack? In fact, so much of the town has found themselves under her seductive spell, they’ve formed a secret society to help each other cope with their unbridled lust. Operating in seclusion, this group has been an unseen staple of Ponyville. Surely, though, nothing good can come of the mare herself discovering the existence of Applejack Anonymous.

My life was simple. I used to be a cellist, of Canterlot's pride and nobility, and a very happy pony with where I was. I should say I landed myself here; it was nopony's fault I agreed with Vinyl on this ludicrous idea. I will, however, blame Vinyl for the guards outside. And for my doctor. And for Princess Luna.

Octavia has had enough. An insidious plague of tacky, hacked together electronic noise is spreading over Equestria, crushing culture and good taste as it passes. Well, at any rate it's really loud and annoying and the guy upstairs just won't turn the freakin' volume down.

Desperate to show the citizens of Canterlot the error of their ways, 'Tavi decides the only way to defeat electronica is from within. But for that, she must, y'know, actually be 'within'. And that means learning a few new instruments.

Oh yeah, and Lyra 'helps' about as much as she usually does.
