Is it better to be respected, or admired?

This question has always troubled Chrysalis, and being banished from Equestria has not made it any less of a pressing issue for the queen of the changelings. Cut off from her armies and alienated in a strange land, she adapts and blends in to survive. For a master of deception, this is no difficult feat, but despite her success in the business world, her new life is unfulfilling. She is almost always hungry, because the creatures she has found herself stranded with are much less generous with their love.

More than anything, she longs to be her true self, and to be adored for the regal being she truly is. Of course, she knows that no one could ever love a changeling.

Or could they?

Rarity gets a call from Fancy Schmancy, owner of the five star Golden Grain hotel in Manehatten and husband to Emerald Shine, a former fashion model who now runs Fashion Monthly, Equestria's top fashion magazine. Agreeing to come make a new line of dresses for Emerald Shine, Rarity heads off the Manehatten, her hopes for finally hitting the big time rising once again.

Meanwhile, Trixie has been struggling to keep a steady job performing at a local theatre in Manehatten, but each of her performances have ended in disaster. Despite her pleas, the manager of the theatre lets her go, leaving her jobless, and without a place to sleep, as she had been sleeping in the theatre's dressing rooms.

These two events will soon bring the two into an unexpected encounter, and a single act of Generosity will pave the way for both to find what it is they truly want in life.

Instead of banishing Nightmare Moon, Celestia successfully separates Luna and the nightmare, and both then seal it in the moon, but the stain of both acts are too much for the Princesses and both perish, but not before giving the prophecy of their return.  1000 years later is a changed Equestria, a splintered government, no advanced school of magic, difficult weather patterns, and a looming threat from the Moon.  Can the reborn Princesses be found in time?  Is friendship still the best hope for a happy tomorrow?  The more things change...

Big Mac walks Cheerilee home after the exasperating antics of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and talk about the past, and maybe even the future.

Big Macintosh had a perfectly good reason for taking Twilight's doll; he wanted to use it to finally start a conversation with her. But Applejack's having none of it, Rarity's getting the wrong idea about everything, and the Cutie Mark Crusader Matchmakers are about to really throw a spanner in the works! A comedy of errors launching a full fleet of ships.

Harry Dresden, Chicago's only professional wizard, accidentally travels to Equestria after being attacked in the Nevernever. Twilight is none too amused with their newest 'guest', but trouble is brewing. Somepony is planning something sinister and the mane six may need Dresden's help however little some of them want it.

When Ditzy Doo gets in trouble with the authorities, she is taken to the royal courthouse at Canterlot. There, she befriends Princess Luna, one of the two great Monarchs of Equestria. But there is a reason that Ditzy Doo originally did not have many friends when she met Luna, because even though she has a kind heart, she can cause enough chaos to put Discord to shame.
